I think the issue is, we can complain or 'moan' all we like but it seems the so-called leaders are becoming more and more untouchable. It transcends nationality, disregards accountability, and makes a complete joke of any form of democracy we may think we have.
In Buddhist teachings there are two truths....Conventional truth and Ultimate truth. All that is written here is related to Conventional truth, so it can be dissected, debated and decided upon. We can look at objects and say, "it is this, but not this." We separate things into words, this is how we navigate our way through life. But words are very limited, the mind can become more aware of the world beyond words, labels and descriptions. The Ultimate view, or truth is one that doesnt have separate things or objects. It's the truth we fail to see almost all of the time. The world of Ultimate truth doesnt have objects or separate things, it's a world of unity and completeness. It's a world where the phenomena are empty of essence, they are without a part that remains unchanged. The only change that ever exists is within the mind and that is what we perceive. However it's false, we do not realise 'emptiness,' this is why we live mainly in a world of Conventional truth which is not fixed, its fluid, subject to interpretation and opinion. It's a world where we describe and build theories, create philosophies and religions, but it's not Ultimate truth. Both of these truths are equal, one truth is not superior to the other, neither are they separate, one is not higher than the other, purer, or on a different level, but they both exist, although only Conventional purely exists in the mind where we separate things due to our senses, created by our thinking and inferred to by our language.
"Scotland's biggest city came in at number 10 in the list, published by Toronto-based bilingual digital media website Que Pasa, which has over 100,000 followers on Facebook and 60,000 on Instagram."
"While in Glasgow, which once had one of the highest murder rates in western Europe, the number of young knife deaths dropped to zero. And other violent crimes fell by over 50%."
I guess it's worth buying one ticket, if only to allow yourself to enjoy the 'fact' that you could beome a multi millionair in the very near future. Maybe that short fantasy is worth the price of a ticket. But, given the odds, I think buying more than one ticket is a waste of money. "You've got to be on iy to win it" is true, but one ticket gets you in it, more than one means you've not really assesed your chances of winning.
Paid for the petrol out of his own pocket? That's incredibly generous of him. But why did he not just fill his own car? Could it be that deception is so normal these days that it's ok, it just comes with the territory?
"Well there you have it, Rishi Sunak, man of the people, talking to a people, only to borrow a peoples car to pretend to be normal for ten minutes for a news item."
Are they staring you in the face from your tv set lee, maybe check in the back of it.
"Well, I was feelin' sad and feelin' blue I didn't know what in the world I was gonna do Them Communists they was comin' around They was in the air They was on the ground They wouldn't gimme no peace

Try not to 'combat' that which you have no control over and believe you have total control over that which really matters...
"You cannot understand the conflict until you fully understand the basic fact that the ego cannot know anything.
The ego uses the body to conspire against your mind, and because the ego realizes that its “enemy” can end them both merely by recognizing they are not part of you, they join in the attack together. ²This is perhaps the strangest perception of all, if you consider what it really involves. ³The ego, which is not real, attempts to persuade the mind, which _is_ real, that the mind is the ego’s learning device; and further, that the body is more real than the mind is. 4No one in his right mind could possibly believe this, and no one in his right mind does believe it."
The narratives of the powerful
Yes, very severe, maybe like sharing a long train journey with Lizz Truss....
