Maybe you're right but information control is only effective on those too lazy to figure things out for themselves and/or consider the source of their information. If one allows news sources from the left or right to guide them they will be lost. That's what seems to be the majority on these forums and others.

Oddly enough, the polls for President Obama prior to the elections and shortly after were overwhelmingly in the President's favor/almost exactly the opposite of what we see now.

I see no difference. Many believe we should not have intervened with Iraq & Afghanistan and many believe the same thing now. I think we should sit this one out and let the cards fall where they may. Certainly we can speak up for what we believe is right but as many have stated efore in these forums and others, the US is not the world's police.

That would be a good sign that some of the military aren't playing the "kill innocent civillians" game. I hope it's factual and all joking aside, I think having those 2 fighter jets show up was really great.

True enough, the refugees have been doing that for years. Does Malta still have a large refugee presence? When I was living there it was pretty high.

I hope the ferries are allowed to dock in Libya. I've been on those from Malta to Sicily, very nice and 2 should be able to do the job.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to tear it all down and end up with nothing, even if they're successful in getting rid of Gaddafi. Seems protest and revolution are the immediate future for a lot of areas. Sad when you think about all the people being killed.

You made a good point earlier about where all this may be coming from. It wouldn't surprise me to find one country supporting all this or at least encouraging it.

It's easy enough to tag a person with a certain label. Unfortunately, that often times and very unfairly happens to anyone making a stand on something they believe in. I think it's the moderates that will make this work. Way too much extreemism in the US. I can see good and bad from both sides and the good more often than not comes from moderation.

You and I don't agree on much but I thnk we can agree on some if not all of what I just wrote.

I don't believe this was an issue of injustice, just a symptom of a country's governemnt falling apart and vigilantism which eventually turned into piracy. These people are pirates pure and simple. Any residual trace of vigilantiam or sense of purpose is long gone, replaced by greed.

Personally, I believe any hostile move by any pirate should result in their immediate termination. These are not illegal fishermen or toxic waste dumber they're praying on.

I disagree, we all got ourselves into this mess as one big, disfunctional group. Placing the blame on either the Reps or Dems is wrong as they're both responsible. Two kids that can't play fair with each other. I always find they're at their best when there's an even spread of Reps and Dems. A majority with either equates to a problem.

Even if what you say was true (and I don't believe it is) The health care bill would do nothing to enhance competition, it only creates a government monopoly on services. Where's the fair market in that?

Seriously, what has the governemnt done in the past 50 to 100 years that would lead us to believe they are capable of providing something that's cost effective?

One would think at least those journalists would consider the source of the information but then again, very few people really do.

They (ifamericaknew.org) cite a newspaper (Ma’ariv)as the provider of this data but that paper is not available in English. Even so, a quick look at ifamericaknew.org's web site makes it pretty clear they have a axe to grind with the "Zionist" and I don't think I would put much merit into anything they print, say or do. Really lousy source of information unless of course that's the kind of information one is looking for.

Oddly enough, given the fake videos uncovered on the whole conflict, I have serious reservations about anything coming from that region being the truth. Info wars... Battle on....
