I would not be so quick to bash Bush. Have you failed to see the similarity between you and him? Bush sucked in the polls and you suck at making polls.
There's a part of me that agrees with you on this Conrad. I just don't like the idea of the government getting involved with how a parent decides to parent. Personaly, I would never participate in such a practice but I would hold short of forcing someone else to behave in the way I would simply because I feel I was right and they were wrong.
This is an interesting yet sad delima because I believe it would have been in the best interest of the child to receive medical care but where does the government draw the line.
It does seem like a case of hypocracy though there is a difference. In one case, one is choosing a religeous form of medicine over a modern, scientifically proven medical treatment which may result in death. The other is certain death for an unborn fetus by way of a modern and unnecessary (in most cases) medical procedure. Even so, I do agree with you that people often pick and choose the basic human rights they wish to endorse. Frankly, I think the parents should be able to provide care to their children the way they see fit just as I believe in a woman's right to choose.
Initially I thought they would have trouble finding a fair and impartial jury but then I thouht, there are a lot of people who don't pay attention to current events so there are plenty to fil the jury seats.
If innocent, this young lady has done nothing to help her cause. Based on what I have seen thus far I would lean towards guilty. If found to be guilty she deserves only the mercy a few thousands volts of electricity can provide. If it were an accident and a stupid response to an accident then that would be another matter. I just have a hard time understanding her behavior in either case.
I don't know Jay, the hole is pretty deep and I don't believe we're gonna get it right until we reel in some of this spending. I do believe Obama will honestly try and have some success but it took us a long time to get into this mess and it will take longer than 4 to 8 years to get out.
The sad part is, since I retired my income has dropped significantly and I now qualify for some of these incentives. I don't need it at all nor do I want it. My retirement check covers everything I need. Besides, I just secured a second career job and I saved a lot of money over the past 28 years.
There just seems to be too much giving and to the wrong people. There really are people who need a help up, assistance with medical issues and others. What drives me nuts is the continued pouring out of money to those too lazy to get off their asses and try to earn their own way.
Anyway, I think you and I see this pretty much the same way.
Hi Jan, I appreciate you and your comment but I have to disagree. I've been on the receiving end of one of snotty little corrective posts in the recent past. I didn't much care for it. Perhaps the one making these comments thought she was being funny, I didn't.. This thread seems to tie into that same mentality.
Hmmm, I wood would respound reply butt but I dont' don't want too to get piked picked on for errorors errors in speling spelling
See what a pain in the butt it can be to edit ones work. I'm here to have fun, chat, get to know people and have a good time. If I make a spelling error, typo or grammatical error and someone doesn't like it.... Well that's too bad.
I find it very cheap, petty and rude for someone to take it upon themselves to correct minor spelling errors. In most cases the messages are clear enough. Surely there are more important things in life than raising ones self esteem at the expense of others.
I don't know a lot about metal stress and such other than what I've read but I did see a documentry on demolition of buildings. The work is quite extensive and takes a long time to set up completely.
Do We Have Enough Polls Yet
Only if you're a good girl..
