As I said, it has it's good point by controlling trolls, and bad points by removing legitimate posters at the risk killing a thread. But then a banned poster could still come back with their own thread. Hiding a post I think is a good compromise. Ultimately the owners of the site have the power over the threads so it will always be in their hands.
I would much rather the person who started a thread have the power to remove post they deem unsuitable, rather than the mods, who have their own bias and aren't always fair. If the OP deletes all opposing post then one of those posters can always start another thread to get their message out. Threads live or die based on interest, and if an OP is over zealous with deleting post then more than likely the thread will die an early death, so it's in the best interest of the OP to wield the delete sword wisely. Unfortunately without the delete option we've ended up with several people who like to band together and over run threads with trollish behavior simply because they don't like the Op or the topic. I see the delete function as being the best way to control trolls and encourage better behavior.
I was on 3 plus fakebook. 2 have since closed, and I rarely ever went on fakebook, and now I have stopped going on fakebook when they started sending emails claiming I had messages when there were none. Plus they have proven to be an extremely deceptive company anyway. So all that's left in CS which is fine with me as I'm not big on online relationships.
It's the parents responsibility to work things out for the children. That includes not fighting in front or within earshot of them. But we are all human and sometimes with most couples fights in front of the kids can happen. It's still better for a child to see that then to go through a divorce.
Breakups are a very tough for one or all sides. But there's a side that's often left out. When you have children, and then breakup. In every case (infants excluded) you're causing undue psychological damage to your children and I believe they never get completely over it. It may not be obvious, but it's still there. The only time it's better to breakup is when there's violence in the relationship. The children's exposure to violence is far worse then the breakup. Once you have children you have made a commitment to raise them as a couple in a happy home and it is you duty to see it through. Sadly people are no longer being taught that, but being taught it's OK to think only of yourself.
Anger is a great motivator. It has motivated me many times to do things I didn't want to do but needed to be done. There are many legitimate reasons to get angry and not all of them are caused by people. Sometimes that anger can be used to fix the cause of the anger in the first place, whether it be by confronting a person who has done or is doing something wrong or just repairing something that's broken. That doesn't mean every time you get angry at someone you should confront them. often times it's just not worth the additional problems it may cause. Better to direct your anger elsewhere.
I do agree that thinking there's only one particular person that can make you happy is a problem, and is really more of an obsession. Never the less with out minor or and major attachments to others, can we really be happy? I also don't think you can have love for anything or anyone without some sort of an attachment, even if it's all in your mind or one sided. Whether or not all of those attachments are healthy is the question. However, I do believe you can have attachments without love.
Your comments point out where people get their information makes all the difference in whether the bulk of what their seeing and hearing is accurate or not. An example: Some or all of the videos of children in chain link cages were from Obama's rein. But all of it blamed on Trump. And let's not forget the time magazine photo of the toddler that we were told was being separated from her mother. Another example of fabrication.
Are you saying being attached to someone is a negative emotion? If so I would beg to differ. We all need to have attachments to others. If a person purposely avoids or can't form a bond to anyone then they have some serious emotional problems that if at all possible needs to be dealt with. On the other hand being obsessed with someone would certainly qualify as a negative emotion that would also need to be fixed if possible.
Here's some example's of the liberal press ignoring a large part of the story. The separating of children from their parents at the border was also going on when Obama was President. So where was the outrage at that time? Also, Trump changed the the policy of separating children from their parents at the border. And then there's the fact that anyone who's already in the country whether born here or legally here. If they commit a crime and get thrown in jail, are also separated from their children. So why should people who are arrested trying to break into the US be treated any different?
Riz, everything I have read of yours shows that you have no interest in anything that's not written on a ultra liberal website. I hope I'm wrong about that so I will reiterate how important it is to do a side by side comparison over at least a 3 month period of time on what is reported on fox news and the main stream liberal news. If you are truly interested in the truth please do the comparison. It's only a side x side comparison what harm could it do? If you have the ability to record then pick a few of the prime time shows on fox news, you can skip the commercials to make it easier. I record everything that interest me so I don't have to be bothered with commercials.
I was mainly speaking of conservatives. Liberals won't believe anything negative about their beloved Hillary and only those open to the truth when it's shown to them will ever change their minds.
I think to problem may be that we have heard all the proof of Hillary's guilt so much that most people have very little interest in her anymore. Now if her and her cohorts start getting indicted then Hillary will be all over the conservative news, but her guilt will largely be ignored by the liberal press.
Although I have great a deal of compassion & sympathy for those with bipolar and other mental disorders. Having a significant other with bipolar disorder is something I know I couldn't handle.
Yes when you live with a person who is bipolar recognizing the symptoms becomes easy. And they range from mild to wild. My mother was on all kinds of meds over the years with most not doing much to help her other than robbing her of her normal personality. She did however improve as she got older and continued to improve right up until she passed away. At this point I don't know how my sisters are doing as I haven't had much contact with them for several years now. People who are bipolar tend to alienate their family's.
I completely understand. I won't go into any detail on the bizarre behavior my mother and sisters have engaged in. It was at times scary, disturbing and at times dangerous.
My mother and my 3 sisters are all bipolar. It's a tough illness to have to deal with, and not always apparent. It also may not manifest itself for many years and come and go at irregular intervals.
I will not bring lindsy's or anyone other thread down to your level. And so after this won't be commenting on anything the attack dog liberals have to say that is not related to the thread. That being said I invite anyone to PM me if they want to know the truth about me instead of a distorted view from a group of people who only want to silence me.
I agree with Dreago. Love would be a bit of a stretch. I do think he's moving the country in the right direction. He could be doing more but with the hate Trump crowds war on him and the country, it has slowed him down. Despite that, he continues the fight. I doubt anyone else could do the same given all the dishonesty that's used against him.
