RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

I wish people understood that healthcare and education is never free.

Taxation, regulation, charitable donations, people are paying because people running and doing the jobs in the educational and healthcare systems, have to be paid.

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

Not a problem galrads. I'll add a little more summary while I'm here.

The Jewish nation has claimed Jerusalem it's capitol since about 1004 BCE by religious standards. It is recognized historically, it seems, as their only capitol since. They are recognized as the first religion and people, to be there.

The first muslims didn't arrive until sometime around 600 and something A.D. It was under hostile intentions and was just handed over to the invaders.

Excuse the time lapses but to lightly fill in some blanks, the first crusade took place in/around the 1100's(also forced). I think many are familiar with a lot from there on.

The fall of the ottoman empire gave opportunity for Britain to take over the palistinian state and France was given a portion to control. I think that was somewhere in 1917 until the mandates were relinquished and the state of Israel came to be in 1948. It's been an up hill battle for Israel ever since.

There have been other offers and negotiations but I've been heavily side tracked watching my own country up heave noticeably since about 2011. To think that many support obozo but he wouldn't even ensure that Iran recognize Israel and their rights in that "deal".

Around 2014 Israel offered palistine control over portions and areas, including certain religious areas, but not the heavily populated Jewish areas of Jerusalem. Israel wouldn't give sovereignty. The deal was still a no-go.

There was a time when I could give great detail on many things but I've kind of all but given up on that over the years and hope people read more with the summarized versions. There is always more information as there are always more than two sides to most events. I'm not certain I have it in me for that type of depth any more.

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

It's not that majority of the people in the U.S. don't want Jerusalem as Israel's capitol. I think a larger majority do.

The truth is that a larger majority have no idea what's been happening with the U.N., certain worthless leaders, and how long the 2-state system has been under "talks" with break downs. Most likely, only what television tells them.

Another veto proof bill even as obozo was undermining Israel with talks of the 1967 lines even before election night of 2012; H.R. 4133. It was to guarantee joint co-operation for security as well as support for Israel.

If any thing, it's more that a large population of the people in the U.S. only know what television tells them about any conflicts, U.N. prejudices.

Trump stated that it wasn't to do away with the 2-state system or stop negotiations. I suspect the continued anti-Israel sentiment that the U.N. doesn't buck against as it should have; has more to do with the uproar.

I can't seem to find much, where the U.S. population majority is against his decision except maybe for some of the portion mentioned above. Even if I did, they are the same sources either way they lean, that tried predicting and even telling people, what the last presidential election results would be by a landslide.

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

Once again, a person can go through the U.S. congress.gov site and see just how many bills for Israel have been put out. When they know a president may veto, they generally go out of their way to make them veto proof as will obozo.

obozo makes his last ditch efforts to damage as deeply as he can to make things harder for the incoming leader, who is actually in favor of the U.S. and allies.

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

The bill was VETO proof.

Even if the U.N. manages to keep any thing from happening, according to Trump(and he's right), the U.S. will save a lot. I doubt they'll be able to stop the embassy move no matter what.

By making the U.S. more competitive on the global scale tax and trade wise, we gain, not lose. It's not even remotely isolation; it's the door to expansion. It's going to be a lot harder for countries to try contesting the currency standard like obozo allowed with his worthless policies and internal destruction.

Politics are being put aside, actual decisions are being made, and a lot of funding ready to be with drawn. It's a whole new world when we might actually stop dealing with terrorists and terrorism.

I'm starting to see more than ever, why the obozo regime and "Friends" are so terrified of a Trump presidency. The U.S. is finally going to put up or the certain areas always against are going to have to shut up.

This isn't likely to start a war. That's already been ongoing. It's going to quit hiding every thing and bring a whole lot out to the front for the rest of the people across the globe to see.

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

Yes. It's okay to spread terrorism through the globe and make deals with their benefactors, but to stand behind an ally and quit passifying the problems is unheard of and destabilizing. 2334 was one of obozo's last act before leaving. obozo didn't help Israel. Congress did and always has. We just happen to have a leader willing to support their majority with out resentment. The last deal made with congress and Israel brings 55% or so of the upkeep and munitions business BACK to the U.S. Did that article tell you any of that?

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

Maybe something solid is needed towards an end. Every offer has been turned down over the years. Then the U.N. makes more resolutions. Trump hasn't derailed any thing. He's making a decision. For all we know, this is based on some of his son-in-laws efforts.

Trump asked what was needed to WIN against isis. Quick and final headway was made. Trump isn't going to tell a game plan like obozo. The enemy isn't being fed any more.

It's not about ego. Many of us have wanted an actual decision to be made so concerns for Israel, can be finalized, for many years. How many more lives are lost dragging things out over the long term? How long before U.N. resolutions against, allow all but genocide again? It's been pretty one sided against Israel.

It's about finally doing what's right while we have a leader to stand behind it. No politics. No talk. Do it. What ever happens will happen. It's better than to keep talking about it then allowing escalations to keep waving up and down. Israel certainly can't afford another obozo in the U.S. More lives lost dragging out a bad situation than making a decision then finalizing it. Keep dragging until any type of control or talks are lost altogether? It's happened in the past and wasn't any prettier than it would be now.

This way, Trump holds the cards by making the move and Israel stands more prepared knowing what COULD happen but may not.

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 30 - 11

RE: USA Vetoes UN Security Council Egypt-drafted resolution that Status in Jerusalem not change

Other reports indicate that the U.N. is trying to work around and undo the veto. We're one of five nations with veto power.

We're planning on moving our embassy. How is the U.N. going to stop that?

Nikki Haley and Sara Sanders were excellent choices for their positions when Trump asked them to take the job(s).

I think under obozo, resolution 2334 was approved. No surprise there with that terrorist supporter. Another piece of garbage legislation against Israel from it's forced confrontations concerning 1967 to present.

Interesting. obozo was allowed to thwart an anti-hezbolah operation to ensure Iran got their deal but a U.S. leader finally enacting legislation from the bill clinton era, is going to receive all kinds of back lash.

RE: Do you think is right to chat to multiple people at one time?

Is it dating or socializing? Either one can turn into a waste of time and resources at some points here and there. As long as caution isn't thrown totally to the wind, I think most things can be recovered from.

If it's actually for dating purposes, one at a time seems a better choice. Try more than one in real life at a time, and it generally doesn't go so well. How could it turn out much different in a virtual life? There are both, men and women, with views that these types of sites are great for "hookups", notches, good times at others' expense, even games of the video variety. Maybe just about any type of variety possible, is available some where.

If interested in a person, do you really want them considering more than just you? Worse still, maybe trying to "include" you in a different place and/or time slot?

Many just use these sites for socializing. If that's the purpose, what can you say one way or the other?

People from all walks of life are in and out of the revolving door provided by online dating. How are you going to have a chance of knowing what you might be able to have, if you over fill the basket with more than you can actually handle or take in?

Of course; with the mention of many different types of people, it's not going to matter what a personal opinion might be. Whether by accident or on purpose, all will do what they do, according to what they want, or think they want. The question of actual feelings existing, may be another matter entirely. I think people become much more calloused through a type of anonymity, also provided by a virtual life. These forums certainly don't shave or erode callouses away.

RE: Astrology

I think there is enough information centered around birth dates and time frames to build a profile of certain traits and behaviors.

Those astrological signs are just that, a type of profiling. Not all people actually fit the profile their alleged birth sign may indicate. If there are failures, it may be better to examine the traits and behaviors and then make changes with in yourself, accordingly.

There is also the Chinese zodiac and I've heard of a Hindu system. I'm certain there are other systems, I just try not to put too much stock into "Astrological dating".

Time frames are also subject to change based on certain years and other factors with the planets "rotation".

I've seen opposites and similar thrive to the end. I'll admit that similar traits and behaviors, might seem to last more often.

RE: What thoughts roam when a beautiful women says she's single? (Or man)

I think nothing either way.

Odds are high that I don't know the woman which means there are too many unknowns. With my schedules and things, there may not be any time to bother finding out unless they're close and actually indicate they may want to explore more personal possibilities.

I've met more than a few males and females, with relationships not lasting longer than several years or so ever. Many with children involved. That's not a good sign.

The "unknown" parts tend to help keep me a little more neutral and cautious.

RE: 2 messages from Russia

Just as mueller has found nothing illegal in their failing and fraying fabrication of "collusion"; I have yet to see why any one has any thing bad to say about Russia. Okay. There is one thing that may spur that; obozo was shamed by Russia in a 2015 speech to the U.N. for his destabilization of the middle east.

As they uncover emails, ties, other communications, the fabricated democratic lies, and actual conspiracies against a Trump presidency, obozo and regime told you that you should hate Russia even as we have had space programs and were building more.

Putin wouldn't deal or listen to fuhrer obozo so he had to make America hate again in other directions with no real truth or evidence.

It doesn't matter who gives a warning about a known threat, it's best to at least listen and watch. Russia pulling out of Syria? That's good news. We may still have to deal with Iran at some point in the near future. A real enemy that was allowed a deal.

Isn't it said that we were also warned about people to watch before our Twin Towers were taken out in 2001? Russia was warning on that too by some reports.

So how stupid has the obozo/hillary machine really made the weak-minded that every one is a puppet of Russia as the U.S. is actually gaining steam and growing again? How does that benefit Russia?

RE: The GOP the Grand Old Party not so grand anymore.

The last republican president that set up some domestic policies to help the nation grow. Bush Sr. sucked but clinton didn't have to do much for a working economy. Bush Sr. raised taxes against his word but conceived the idea of nafta. Apparently, it's said, he was good at foreign policy.

Clinton gets a working economy on the rise, makes some tweaks with room afforded him by Bush Sr., then sells us out through nafta. Bush Jr. also sucked at domestic policy or true to politician form, had joined the rest in knowing he was covered at tax payer expense too.

Clinton did manage one year with a federal budget surplus and it has never been repeated since. Must be all that spending and government programs that shouldn't be.

That's okay. The tax payers will flip the bill. Except that for 2009-2017, there was little to no actual growth. Even lower wages. We did experience more taxes, fines, regulations, and mandates. More government program expansions too.

RE: The GOP the Grand Old Party not so grand anymore.

Where do you think those government hand outs come from to keep buying votes?

There are programs that are good for a person's future or even help when/if needed temporarily. Then there are programs that are only good for a politician's future.

Who pays for it all in the end no matter what the cost to the people when bad policies are allowed to continue?

RE: The GOP the Grand Old Party not so grand anymore.

The democrats today are not the FDR or Kennedy type.

It's the same with the so-called republicans that aren't much of the Reagan type.

The nation has very low standards and values compared to what helped it to grow in the first place.

It's like reading a report that says corporate profits have grown better under democratic presidents. They tend to leave out that wages have dropped and taxes gone up for the American worker while they yell corporate cronyism when and actual leader wants to lower taxes.

RE: The U.S. House of Representatives passes h.r. 38 making mandatory reciprocity for all states.

We might have to worry about the NICS part more than we think.

There have been a large percentage of people wrongfully denied in the past, with out knowing why.

Who has the right to add people on this list and how can a law abiding citizen be denied the right to know why they're application for the proper licensing, has been turned down?

Each state or area is supposed to update every 6 months or so?

RE: The U.S. House of Representatives passes h.r. 38 making mandatory reciprocity for all states.

It's upholding the Constitution more in it's entirety. The back ground checks are nothing new. Improvements mean nothing as more than few have slipped through the cracks due to others not full filling their duties.

Any state or representative continually restricting people's rights to own and carry are in breach of the Constitution. I do hope it is fully put into law.

This will help keep many of those low life scum bags that get voted in, more in check.

RE: Ego on wheels ?

A gas guzzling 4x4 mid-sized, 4-door, pickup, with passenger and cargo space.

It had nothing to do with ego and every thing to do with wanting a truck again. I'll be re-evaluating what features NOT to have in a couple of years or so. Had I paid full attention, I may have skipped the purchase because of the body lift alone.

RE: Why not Skype ?

I don't have a messaging program.

No reason or purpose for one to date.

No web cam or microphone either.

For the most part, I'm more anti-technology, and still prefer the human factors of actual interactions.beer

RE: whatever that's happening today happends for a reason

Any thing bad is up to us to right. God will stand with us when we move forward. Based on our own choices, He won't interfere.

If he does decide to help directly other than body and spirit; will we know for certain it was Him?

The parable of the wheat with tares comes to mind.

We were never promised no hardships, conflicts, or woes. I think we were warned of the exact opposite with the possibilities that we could experience very little strife through faith, works, and obedience.

RE: USA's Tax Reform

I like most of it.
The part on education has already been partially reformed leaning more toward apprenticeship. That's a lot better than just handing money over for "higher education?".

There are many things we do knowingly when it comes to finances and such. Supposedly to save money, make a better life, self improvement, etc. It doesn't deserve a federal over payment. I can't side with the boo-hooers on education. I and other family members have or are currently working their butts off through college and paying out of pocket. Yes, accruing debt to have better opportunities in the long term that we know has to be paid back.

Businesses have a chance to grow and expand. If pay roll and personal income tax is the largest part of revenues, why would you hinder that?

The tax bracket for $1million or more income hasn't come down much in the house bill.

The break down of itemization of what they want, doesn't cover the wording of the bill that will allow other than promised or talked about at later dates. Congress.gov. H.R. for house bills, S. for senate bills.

It will be for nothing if government doesn't get the broad hint that it needs to reign itself in from much of what it's been doing.

RE: Is everyone looking for Mr. or Mrs. perfect?

I'm not so sure I can actually date or much of anything from online. I've been through many profiles over the years. I'm more likely to have a short conversation with a potential scammer than, a possibly real person. It's good to keep trying as no one wants to, or should, close any potential doors. The internet certainly makes me keep a higher state of caution and alertness with all of those "specialty orders" floating around.

I can't bring reality into a virtual life and a virtual life just doesn't work in reality.

dunno

RE: USA's Tax Reform

I got excited and left out that the bracket affected would be upper middle class mostly. about $50-74/5K. With the time span that would trickle down to the lower brackets.

RE: USA's Tax Reform

at about 75K and up is when the tax may increase for about 11% of people. I've been reading too. Beware of misinterpretations.

The senate says the hikes are done with wrong math for the tax increase with in about 5 years. They say it has to do with subsidies from the death tax they try calling healthcare. I say B.S. The senate bil shows increases and they can take their tar and feathers with the pride they don't have. Beware of the senate bill. It has more of a demonrat touch and the demonrats can smell it. Their own tactics now being used as tool to against.

The house bill wants to make cuts permanent so that a demonrat congress can't come back to easily raise them again.

There are two bills that they have to some how combine into one.

RE: USA's Tax Reform

One of the biggest variables that hurt any country the most is their own government over spending and making deals with out long term consideration. That's just a reasonable part of the economic portion. That doesn't account for many other things bad and sometimes, good.

Power and control starts to take precedence over who and what they're supposed to represent. True, it is almost impossible to avoid debt altogether. It's more true, that with reasonable measures, debt can be kept manageable with a chance to be out of it once in a while.

Current employment numbers haven't seemed to change much. Still all positive job growth and hurricane season has certainly taken it's toll on employment numbers potential. Some where around 1-2 million back in the work force.

Job markets are going to depend on opportunity and expansion. Even now some markets are complaining about the changes that will effect stocks or other types of investments and investors. Somehow, they've managed to miss the tax cuts that will be given for businesses(still to be fully defined by size,etc.). No way to say for certain how they will off-set each other yet. The cuts just don't seem to be taken into consideration for the type of complaints.

Interestingly enough, the proposed breaks for companies to bring their "assets" back to the states and other breaks for money made outside of the U.S. is pretty reasonable. "Stay here or come back and grow,we'll tax that, but won't tax you for what you make and do in other countries". At least that's how I understand it in a nut shell.

The 38-39+% tax bracket(s) for the rich seems to be staying intact for both bills. Maybe a cut to 33, I lost track for full accuracy after about an hour. Two separate bills but I won't say they are consistent. They could become complimentary of each other with the right revisions.

I'm thinking they're going to try pushing something through quickly and it could blunder with out constant review and revision. It won't be as bad as the obozocare has been but it could still hurt.

RE: USA's Tax Reform

The house has passed a tax plan and the senate has passed a plan or still arguing on one. Some cuts permanent. Some on time line to keep the cap.

All still need refinement but the senate plan shows future tax increases on the middle class. Doesn't seem much is permanent but time lined. Some of the increase is said to be misuse of the cut for mandates on health insurance. Still talks about the excise tax set to take effect next year..etc.

How long do you think they will argue to come with a full bill? got tired of going through the bill at the site. It does cut a lot of "fat" being collected from the government at tax payer expense now. Not all and it does still need work but at least a frame work is in the running.

One particular article I skimmed was the only one to mention that no proposals to government cuts to their own spending has been made to help meet the "budget" caps they are supposed to stay under over the next 10 years.

Yes indeed. People in power have had decades to refine and work on these very things and more, to make and maintain a standard. So wrapped up in power struggles and control, we the people haven't mattered much until recently. Now, more than ever, both parties are in trouble with the voter bases, and now they seem almost like deer in the head lights of a vehicle.
