I am soooo glad I found CS first, this place is cool and so much fun on the forums, nowhere else has the interesting conversations we do here. I've recently joined some other sites that have more locals for me, but there are some real freaks out there, glad I got my feet wet here first and got some experience by talking to people. All you guys are great, even the freaks!
Maxwell House dark roast is quite good enough for me, I'll be dammed if I'm driving anywhere for a cup of coffee in the morning. Morning coffee is a necessity of life, not a social event ... well maybe socializing with one other person. But don't expect conversation.
And why are there so many people from Malta on here? I've been wondering. It's a small place, seems everybody there is active on here. Way more than Alabama!
You ppl are depressing me, after two wkds in a row with something to do, I have no plans, have to work Saturday. Sunday I am meeting someone for lunch, but not holding my breath for that one.
I fit in pretty quickly to almost any situation, some I like better than others, but I was raised to be able to adapt to different social situations. I can go from honky-tonk Saturday night (learned that one on my own) to Sunday morning church, and feel quite at home either place.
I'll go for the laughs every time. Concerts are ok every too, but if I had to choose, I can stay home a listen to music. Laughing is something that's way better shared.
A certain level of intelligence is important to me, I can't see spending time with someone I can't even carry on a conversation with. But intelligence to me has more to do with common sense than formal education, I've known some highly schooled people who didn't have enough sense to know when to come in out of the rain. I've also met some people that on the surface you'd think weren't the sharpest knife in the drawer, who turned out to be surprisingly astute. I try not to judge people until I've gotten to know them, everybody has something they're good at, and it might be something that I don't know the first thing about.
Yeah this is one way to do it. Not just here, there's not that many locals for me, but it does open up some possibilities. But if I happened to see someone irl that looked interesting, I'd try to smile and say hi at least. But it's highly doubtful you'd be able to actually meet someone like that. I'm sure there's better ways of meeting people irl than on the street. When someone figures out what that might be let me know.
