IMO, jealousy is one of the ugliest traits a person can display. A little jealousy is a normal feeling, but feelings aren't facts. When it takes over a person and their relationships, it's deadly. It entails distrust, disrespect, insecurity, pride, controlling, suspicion, ownership, greed, everything that will spell the death of a relationship, and ultimately of the person.
I used to say of one ex, if someone else wanted him and he wanted them, they could have him, cause someone like that is not worth fighting over. Turns out he was screwing everything in town and I didn't even know it, it was just a hypothetical when I said it. I probably did know subconsciously. But I was right, he sure wasn't worth fighting over.
A twinge of jealousy now and then is normal, but to let that feeling become an active thing is the worst thing a person can do to themselves and others.
Hmm, ya wanna come over and caulk around my windows?
I'm in a freakin' good mood today too. It's a beautiful sunny day, not too dang hot and humid, for AL in August anyways. Going out tonight to shoot pool, oh and the best part, I'm off today!
The best of all time for me, will make me get up and dance, or dance in my chair or driving down the road, is old time rock & roll~Bob Segar. If that song doesn't make you want to get up and dance you need to check your pulse, ya might need to be buried!
Well that's the way I read the story. And the group I'm talking about would have been 20th century, around 1940-50's. Part of a larger movement that did survive, but that particular group legislated themselves out of existence.
Long story behind that, it came from a group that had so many rules about what to do amd mpt dp and who could or could not be a part of it that it fell apart, so the 62nd and last rule was don't take yourself too seriously.
Good rule to live by. Life's too short to be serious!
I'm not a big romance movie fan, I know, I'm not normal. Just most of them are just too unbelievable to me. They have to have something more to them than just mush. I did love Legends of the Fall, I wouldn't have even thought of it as a romance movie, it's more of a historic piece. I'm not even a Brad Pitt fan, but I loved him in that. It's tragic and romantic and had a lot of depth to the characters, all of them. And the scenery was worth it!
Fried Green Tomatoes is another one that I loved. The intertwining of people's lives over the years, and I've seen places just like that town that she went back to at the end, little rural towns that were once bustling places that have fallen back to the weeds. It was just a really sweet movie.
Contemporary movies, the best one I can think of is Sweet Home Alabama, and not just cause I'm from Alabama. I loved the way she rediscovered herself. And how they did that snooty mother-in-law to be at the wedding, that was just priceless!
RE: Say something to someone .. nice as far as possible ..
Bye boys and girls, I'm off to venture out into the real world, wish me luck!See ya when I return, don't have too much fun without me!
