NZ Inland Revenue Department have a website where you can look and check if there is money owed to you by IRD that has not been claimed or wages that have not been claimed.
I had a look and saw a few people i knew on there so worth it to check out for you. You never know you might have a windfall waiting out to be sent.
Just google the IRD website.. and looked for unclaimed money.
So if you are a NZ'der living in Aussie for less than six years have a look you could be owed money. You have to look under a few different searches eg. if your name was Joe Bloggs you would need to look under B and J and J. Blogg.
You know the one you just have to turn the stereo right up loud and sing away to... ...?
If you can download it this is a New Zealand band and this song is truly beautiful and awesome to listen to......it has been around for a few years.. and is a lovely classic.
Anchor Me by the Muttonbirds
Full fathom five Some day i will lie Singing songs that come from dead mens tongues
Anchor me Anchor me
As comforts turn and the glass is full and the stone clouds roll and the gulls they call

Let the salt spray land on the shivering skin where the green waves crash and the whirlpools spin

I am definately more of a country girl, i live rural and would far rather live in the country than the beach and do.
However it is nice to visit the beach every now and then.... except when i start sunbathing... greenpeace keep coming and trying to roll me back in the water.. grrrrr ha ha !!
I use to go and holiday in caloundra and fish from the wharf ....Howdy... !!!! Great place to meet loads of different people.. lol!! Does it still get really packed in the evenings..with families and kids etc the wharf. It was such a cool place to hang out.
WINNER....of the last 'last word' goes to ME!! na na na na na na naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Had to start a new one up bourbs...? Noted you never congratulated the last winner... sour grapes maybe?
Awww shucks bourbs....i didnt know you cared so much as to carry the pain of my heart with you. What a lovely kind friend to do this for me... meanwhile i can carry on and be a trusting, happy soul. Cheers dude..!!
No one should go into a relationship with the view to changing anyone, however after a period of time you do naturally change as you take on each others different view points.. or the ones that make sense as well as we learn to compromise so naturally that means changing our way we want to do things or think... but intentional manipulation for the betterment of one party is not healthy at all but yes you see it frequently.
Yep i dont want a man either.... me thinks womens liberation is outdated as well, then there was the mens turn but typically they had no idea what the hell was happening so missed it entirely...now womens lib is back... sorry bourbs...you snooze you lose!!!
Hey Dawn, Same with our New Zealand/Aussie Forum, i always tell newbies that they are welcome to contribute to the forums and the more the merrier whenever i post a hello... in the vain hope that this might inspire a few new people hesitant to post to do so.. They have just put up the Canada forums on our site so that is how i have found them. Otherwise we just had the internationals which are too busy at times.
I must admit i was surprised at how slow the Canadian forums actually were!! lol!! So hope they pick up a bit too. Maybe we need to have a Quizz night or Inter forum competition !! Canada vs Aussie/NZ lol questions from both sides ha ha!!
They will all end up in Zoo's which is a great crime...always makes me cringe when i see an animal such as a polar bear in a zoo... there are just some animals like killer whales, dolphins etc that need large areas to roam that should be given sanctuarys to live their life in peace.
Man has so much to answer for... their selfish greed.
Hey Belle, i lived by Richmond as well and Takaka as well... just as you come down off the ranges before you got into Takaka we use to overlook three big teepee's that these people use to live in. God i use to love Takaka you could get up in the morning put anything on the more it mismatched the better, wear one red sock one brown sock and a pair of gumboots and go grocery shopping and you just fitted right in with everyone else ha ha!!!
There use to be a cafe there with a courtyard opposite the post office where all the locals sort of use to hang out a bit that was cool.
I use to love it... we lived the real alternate lifestyle there, even had to walk through the bush to the outside loo with the glass panel door so you could sit, do your business and look out over the bush as we were up in the ranges with no one around us.
Had a coal range stove to cook on... use to take about two days to cook a roast lol! OMG those were the days... it was a great lifestyle.. golden bay beaches awesome!!! We use to lose our sheep regularly, they would jump the fences and go up into the ranges then appear a week or so later when the grass had grown again!! God we were totally mad farmers... use to milk the cow. Had a goat and chickens... i really miss having animals now and now you cant afford to live in Takaka it has gotten thee place to live like the old Motueka became fashionable after all the germans started immigrating and buying up all the land the alternates moved to Takaka and now they are all down fox river west coast !!
RE: Come and chat ..
Bloomin men and their timing !!!
