Sadly all the good Irish men are gone. We just have now spineless fish of politicians who are only interested in lining their own pockets. The IRA degenerated into a bunch of drug dealers and criminals so are totally useless to Ireland now.
The atmosphere is only a few km thick and we are continually polluting the hell out of it and the pollutions stays there so we are effectively drowning in our crap and then we don't understand why so many people have cancer these days.
The difficulty that people like Obama face is that their hands become tied by others, or political/business systems, around them which disable them from implementing all their ideas. He then has to solely bear any backlashes from various sections of society. This will always be the way unless the leader is a dictator and forces all his/her ideas regardless. Now would people prefer that?
The problem is that people who misuse drugs and drink that end up in hospital block up the hospitals on those who are genuinely sick from no fault of their own. So take all you like but if you get sick as a result you should be placed as low priority at the back of the queue if you have to go to hospital no matter how bad you are.
If it's preceded by a love Leinster march and followed by a love Munster march and then a love Connaught narch and all join up to a love Ireland event then it may be good.
Internal exams consisting of multiple choice questions where there is only one correct answer to each question is a simple solution to this. No one could argue with the result and no teacher could favour one person over another. These could be then be combined with normal written exams externally and independently assessed.
Well if you smoke in the smoking area and are not doing a job were it could impact on others directly (e.g. air traffic controller, doctor etc..) then smoke away.... (but you're only shortening your life in the longer term)
