RE: Why Does Every Woman, Take A Mobil Photo Pic , In A Mirror....

and what about the men posing in the bathroom mirror, toilet seat up in the background rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Why Does Every Woman, Take A Mobil Photo Pic , In A Mirror....

its not only ladies laugh

the selfie has become the in thing, people feel the need to prove to the world that they are doing things... ooh look at me at the gym, oooh look at me here, ooh look at me there... if they don't document their every move, then they feel they are not part of the cool scene... roll eyes

RE: Fakes

I found one the other day, same photos, same about me description, same location, different names, different ages.

Little tip for everyone, if you think the profile is not genuine, you can do an image search on google. Very easy to find duplicate profiles / fake profiles laugh

The Great Make-Up Debate

that's cool, just wondering. Would you think a well dressed girl who doesn't wear make up has more self confidence than a girl dressed exactly the same but wearing make up?

The Great Make-Up Debate

interesting, so if a girl turned up on a date, well dressed, nice hair but no make up, what would you think.

The Great Make-Up Debate

now thats interesting... why is this?

The Great Make-Up Debate

Great point. To me it seems make-up has become something that women use to cover up other things, like low self confidence. Its like a mask, used to hide the perceived flaws or inadequacies.

Read The Book First Or Watch The Film First

me either, sometimes I have 2 on the go.

I never quite got into this ebook thing. I like collecting books, swapping books with friends and family, spending hours in book shops

The Great Make-Up Debate

Ladies
Is makeup so automatic to you, part of your daily routine no matter what you are doing. Do you have to put on even a light dusting of foundation and powder, lipstick etc just to go feel ready for the day. Would you ever consider going on a date without a full face of make-up

Men
Does make-up draw you to a woman. Do you expect women to have even light make-up on a day to day basis. What would think if a woman turned up to a date without any make-up

Read The Book First Or Watch The Film First

Films will always be different to the books, that's just the nature of things. How can you put every sentence, every scene of a 500 page book into a 90 minute film. There are bound to be creative differences between the author and the directer. What makes it interesting for me is seeing how these creative differences are worked out, seeing how the essence of the story is captured, how well or not the characters work on screen.

Sometimes I think we enjoy books so much that we expect to see everything onscreen, and that leads to disappointment.

Read The Book First Or Watch The Film First

Sometimes like with Harry Potter or Twilight, I read the books first. I was drawn into the magical worlds created by the authors and eagerly waited to see how they were transformed onto the screen. I loved seeing all the characters come to life and the hard work of the authors become real.

One the other hand, TV series like Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries I watched before reading the books. While the books are brilliant, I feel it has made me expect more from the books as the TV series are so well created.

Overall , I prefer reading the book first and then watching the film or TV series, so what about everyone else?

RE: socialising and the internet...

I can't stand all the ooooh look at me here, oooh look at me there... ooh look at what I'm doing now photos on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Yes I am an internet junkie, I'm online all the time and yes I have the internet on my phone, but for me its a way of keeping in contact with my friends. Most of my friends live in different countries, some in different timezones and we use Facebook like an online diary, to keep in contact. Some of my friends I only see once a year, so Facebook has replaced old fashioned snail mail for us.

Sometimes I do post photos when I'm out and about but its generally because I know my friends would be interested in seeing the photos.

RE: What prevents you from living the life you truly desire?

I put family responsibilities

I have lived away from Ireland for over 10 years, only came home for family reasons. If I could I would pack a bag and be be gone. I've lived in various places over the last 20 years. All the other options, fear of failure, rejection, fear of success, lack of courage, lack of money, lack of self esteem, self confidence have never been an issue for me. I've always been in low paying jobs, and have previously just arrived in a city with a suitcase, not knowing anyone and made a life for myself.

I just don't understand why people say money stops them from doing things. If you want something badly enough, you will find the money somehow, even if like me you are on minimum wage.

RE: Skype

if you have to ask here, then in your head you know the answer...

You need to ask yourself
1. Have you have built up a text based relationship with this person
2. What are the tone of your previous messages / emails
3. Do you know what each other wants in terms of relationship
4. Have you swapped photos, know what each other look like

On one hand SKYPE calls are a way of making sure you are talking to a real person. On the other hand, it is very much a trust situation. Talking to someone anonymously online one thing, but going on SKYPE you have to be sure you want to let this person see the real you, not the online persona you have created. Also make sure you have agreed before hand on the boundaries, what you are comfortable doing or saying.
