RE: Should EU adopt australian immigration rules?

Another exercise in total futility; it would be better for Europe and any new future govt. in Libya is a full NATO naval and air assault were launched along the coastal ports including paras and put those smugglers out of business permanently; might even be far cheaper than all the costs of taking in the so called migrant/refugees…

RE: Noah's Ark

Get a grip and read at least 2 translations of the original Sumerian account;( 2 for comparison)
Where those crazy Hebrews got the idea to embellish the original version that they basically stole is anyone’s guess which you shall appreciate on reading the original. Strange that they heavily embellished it, but is they didn’t like or understand certain details, they left them out, such as it was specified that it must be able to navigate under water and that was why a pilot was assigned to help navigate the boat. The ‘Biblical’ Noah did not navigate it. It is all spelled out in the original Sumerian which predates the biblical version by at least one thousand years at the very least. The real Sumerian tablets still exist and can be seen.

Sounds like the old movie Canadian Bacon… which might better.laugh

RE: Boat People

One of the main sights in Monaco is the royal yacht moored in the middle of the harbour, owned by a Saudi Prince. It costs him one hundred thousand dollars a day a to keep it there; it has been there for 20 some years. Do the math…and that isn’t counting the costs of maintaining a full crew and fuel to run the engines all day. It is estimated that this Prince has used it about 5 times in 20 years. Just think of what else he could be spending that money on; hell, he could easily finance a private army to invade all of North Africa, destroy the terror groups, start building new apartment building and business enterprises for those waiting to being smuggled into a rapidly declining Europe…sacrificing everything to set up lifestyles that are easy to get used to by impoverished and illegal immigrant manure that can’t find work in Africa. The Saudi Prince could also give them full employment with benefits if the decline of Europe was not the real end game…makes one wonder...

RE: Is here anyone normal?

There is an old saying: “Why be Happy when you can be normal?”
It’ the easy and apathetic lifestyle of the normals; it’s the easy life that all normal people yearn for…turn the old saying around and you have 'Why be normal when you can be happy? ‘ That implies that normal is not highly regarded as being normal and one would be better off not being normal, as those with any brains whatever add to their prayer at night," …and deliver us from normal. Amen"

RE: Any witty people on here ??? Dying species as it seems ;-)

Ah, perfect! Here we can and do use our words carelessly with unrestrained mayhem; and in the beginning was The Word and at the end will be the cliche’…words are fun and devastating at the same time but they bear thinking about…why is abbreviation such a long word…if humans do not live by words alone despite the fact that they have to eat them. Many people have serious problems with words, such as why are there five syllables in the word ‘monosyllabic’…2 of the most beautiful words in the English language are ‘cheque enclosed’; others would say that ‘not guilty’ are! Another problem with words are that if a word were misspelled, how would anyone know…online or in a book?
Words are also problematic: if they call an orange an orange, then why is a banana not called a ‘yellow' or an apple, a ‘red’. Just try finding an explanation for ‘Gooseberries’
The worst problem with words are that you never know who’s mouths they’ve been in…
A final thought on one of my favourite characters, Oscar Wilde and his famous dictum of the importance of being a wit…what if he had said ‘impotence’ instead...

RE: Ladies, would you date a man who is shorter than you?

For shame! You would not have dated Tolouse Latrec!?
He often understated his height by up to 12 inches! laugh
As an adult, Lautrec had a normally proportioned upper body, but the stubby legs of a dwarf; his mature height was barely five feet, and he walked with great difficulty using a cane. He never wore platform shoes either…ummmm, perhaps that was why he mostly ‘dated’ the girls from the cathouses of Paris….ahhhh, what a lifelaugh

Take all the so called ‘major powers’ and look at whom they are obliged by treaty to defend if attacked. Those are your first war scenarios, same since around 1900. Nothing has really changed.

RE: Have you heard of planet x or Nibiru?

laugh Me thinks that you have been listening to ol’ Nancy Lieder on her web site ZetaTalk far too long as she is and has been pushing this since 1995. Astronomers have not yet found ‘planet X’, While everyone concerned knows that it is there mathematically as the last few were so discovered without any photos, it hasn’t happened yet or if perhaps Hubble has found it, it is being kept secret. But I very much doubt that ‘they’ would be able to keep it a secret very long…far too many ‘amateur astronomers out there to keep quiet.
As far as Nibiru goes, the Sumerian cuneiform tablets do not,( as yet translated), give us a date as to when it last passed from which it could conceivably be deduced as to its next appearance from its ‘3600’ year orbit. There are thousands of these ancient tablets, in several languages waiting to be translated by specialized linguistic experts all around the world. Among the tens of thousands are still thousands dealing with astronomical matters. Simply to sift through them to categorize them has taken decades and many tablets are in sometimes 3 languages copies of ancient tablets by even older peoples…but at least the name is clear as are the stelae depictions of Nibiru itself as a planet that does cross the orbits of all other planets.

RE: Give England back to the English

As a child when I first heard of the book “A Farewell To Arms” I envisioned a field with discarded arms lying all over and someone waving good-by to the arms. In the same vain, would we not be better off if more money was spent on legs? Why only arms…oh, right, money for legs wouldn’t have a leg to stand on...doh grin

RE: Money Oh Money !!!

So you are saying that women can make any male ‘happy’ as long as he has a salary of $75 thousand …that women will only make a man ‘happy’ as long as he earns $75 thousand..?
In other words then any man earning less than $ 75 thou. has no real chance of finding a woman for less. This raises a lot of questions especially as to their worth; are women worth $75 thousand? Is any woman worth more than the market value of what a man is willing to pay for one..? 75 grand for a woman sounds way over-priced. I’ve always thought that the market value of a dollar should be based on the price of a BJ. Our economies would be far better off…
75 grand for a woman…no wonder there are so many single women...grin

RE: Death Penalty

I myself am up for it if the legal system would stop being wimps. oh the person is sick we cant kill him. where I live a man killed n ate part of his ex. back in the good ole days he would have been shot on site. but the legal system wants to be humane. why don't they think of the victim. we'ld save money if the just wack the ppl on death row. instead of letting them die of old age

While I ugly agree with both posts here, I would go one step further in carrying out the sentence of death, that it would “fit the crime” . Most crimes that end in a death are extremely violent and brutal. So it should be to the perpetrator, even if he beaten his victims with a baseball bat, he would be also, etc. etc.
There has never been a shortage of hangmen, electrocutioners, volunteers for a firing squad or stranglers, so I’m sure there would be those that would be able to deal with a death sentence to resemble what was done.
Having spent a lot of time covering wars in both Africa and South America, I have never found an army there that did not execute many criminals when they got the chance; open the cells, drag them out back or to some ditch and Bang…very efficient, very timely. I like that. What I found messy was dozens thrown up against a wall and the firing ‘squad’(usually all drunk) just kept shooting until they had finally stopped moving or making sounds…very messy but they liked doing it thet way...dunno

RE: real marriage

Seems that most people confuse real life with reel life, hence so much misery in their lives….people can’t seem to learn the difference, sadly.

RE: FUTURE OF THE EURO

Perhaps 10 or 15 years ago, but no longer. Many in France have recently announced they want France a free and independent nation with all their former rights and prerogatives restored along with the Franc, re issued for their economy. Many of the people there are now voting for the National Front and as of yesterday, their media polls say that Marine Le Pen will be the presidential candidate to beat if possible. She seems to have totally transformed the old National Front from what her father had formed. The latest terror incidents have only improved their chances. French voters want ‘territorial integrity’ with a right to restrict immigration as do other former free European countries but is not allowed to by the laws that Brussels have declared.
While a noble ideal, a new formula for a united Europe of the Fatherlands, must be found that serves all Europeans first and foremost and includes all citizens. Personally, that is mandatory, but perhaps in any new formula, perhaps the old aristocracy will be included as they seem to be the only ones to by-pass the auto destruct ideas of political agendas by the national parties in never being able to co-operate in any positive manner. We can keep our collective fingers crossed. We need the chance and people are itching for even drastic changes to the EU as a whole.
Both Spain and especially Greece are great symbols of the total failure of EU policies despite some of the Baltic states that were worse off than Greece and yet they managed but barely. We don’t need more countries with similar problems.
