Add a V and you have Vooman; just like most eastern European men pronounce woman…as in ‘hallo, stance vooman, I am strange man, ve go have drink, ya, den vee go to cheap hotel und zen fee make zee fun…’ I’ve been using it for years in cartoons...
Too old to worry about any ‘loving partner’, give me da money honey and the money can buy or rent anyone or anything that could make one happy and or content
Reminds me of the old BS lines from the Republicans back in the late 60’s about women wanting to be treated equally by corporate america… nothing new; He would make a good Republican...
I recall a somewhat memorable ‘quote’ from a war film that seems to fit this situation: “I guess we’ll keep on walking into one bloody mess after another until somebody finally figures out that living has got to be more important than winning.” Civil rights, treating each other respectfully and not harming each other is not a form of warfare to be won or lost. Wars are open permits to kill others. Seems a lot are wanting an open war. Be careful of what some may wish. None here can even begin to relate to a real civil war. 'There ain’t nuthin civil about it’...
It is the old story of lonely men seeking companionship,and/ or ‘love’ and lonely women,(both ‘old’ and young) who both have “been there, done that” who have given up to even meet for a coffee. They both sit at home and compose their expectations on their computers for various singles web sites. They never meet and if any ever do, their prerequisites cancel out any possible connections. It’s far easier to avoid their expected disappointments and to maintain their illusions that there is no one out there for them to meet. That mind set does make it very easy to give up actually actively look for that ever elusive ‘special’ person. It is simply too hard to back away from their expectations. In the quiet darkness of their nights, will they ever admit to their regret of not really being interested to look and settle for an empty haunting loneliness that eats away at their hearts…Consolation from alcohol or drugs bring no self delusion to their reality each morning. Just my opinion and observations.
and let’s not forget the female combat jet fighter pilots currently attacking ISIS positions from the United Arab Republic of which there are several. One has become a ‘celebrity’ of sorts as has her ground crew, all female. Bravo for the UAR! Algeria's long range desert units have female soldiers and are now in areas along their southern border region. Algeria however, will not divulge how many of their active soldiers are female but only refer to their recently promoted four female generals. They have the largest number of all Arab countries with a long record of combat service since before their victory over the colonial French army. Even Nigeria has recently promoted a female naval officer to an Admiral.
Old news from months ago; Kurdish women soldiers in action against ISIS shown on news all over Europe and even here from CBC. Once Kurdish and Arab women commit, they make excellent soldiers and always have, ever since Algeria’s fight against French colonial rule and the many women soldiers from Palestine. Met many in the various ‘terror’ groups that trained in Libya to fight the Zionists.
Too funny! I remember the apple-bobbing both in France and German schools and costumes were made from rags resembling devils/ evil spirits; no turnips though, garlands of garlic instead hung around the school and neighbourhoods as vampires and such were always popular…how similar and different our particular celebrations and their rites yet all recognizable from the Emerald sea to the Urals. Have a good holiday!
Next weekend, many of you may be going to Halloween parties, or the children going Trick or Treating. But how many of you know the origin of this festival?
I could have written it myself, but I copy and pasted it out of laziness.
I find both amusing and ironic that Halloween as most of us know it, gets exported to the US from Ireland, and now is imported back to Europe as a whole from the US, pumpkins and all. The closest Europe came was MartinsTag and mixed with All Saints celebrations especially in Germany and Austria. Perhaps they should also include Walpurgis Nacht... Not sure how the ‘trick or treat’ feature will go over in the long run though with so many crazies already running around loose; perhaps in Bavaria it will go well as only they are still prone to have real ‘witch trials’...
It was certainly quite sobering to say the least and definitely a lot more practical and beneficial then from what I’ve always heard. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
I find something appealing in most categories of graphics and Fine Arts, especially Surrealism/DaDa…very ‘elastic’ in scopes with no boundaries, like colours. My favourite colour is Technicolor...
Thought about your verdict for a few moments and disagree. I see no real differences between ‘internet dating’ and RL because it is very rare for anyone of any gender to take any time past the introductory 3 seconds, to actually be inclined to get to know someone else.Perhaps the over-riding reason is that it somehow diminishes from their own egos…after all, we inhabit a disposable world made of disposable others...
Considering how many words have the prefix ‘para’, especially those regarding occupations or states of mind, why not just use ‘un’ instead…lots of un-normals out there along with a few para-normals...
Many people are afraid of a benevolent God; they crave a wrathful unforgiving, vengeful depraved God that loves to have people kill others, just like their political leaders...
RE: What TV series are you watching that are currently on?
what horrible choices; no wonder I tuned out.
