RE: A United Kurdistan state????

Very interesting about how climate changes have affected history in the movements of great migrations. I know of only one major work on both global climate and how it set off great tribal migrations so far as I know. That was a 500 some page book called "Catastrophe: Investigation Into The Origins Of The Modern World" by historian David Keys, around 2000 or so… or "Underworld" by Graham Hancock also does a good job and deals with all the countries that lost their coastlines and cities when the 'ice age' melted and ocean levels rose by more that 30/ 50 feet around the globe. The maps of old coastlines and where some cities have been found is absolutely fascinating. Climate changes changes many things, usually not for the good.

RE: Children Coming to America all by Themselves from Southern Border

The coyotes who are collecting thousands of dollars from these poor, destitute families, and then dumping the children, should be held accountable. Child neglect, child abandonment, and in many cases Manslaughter, when these children die." quote.

Isn't anyone curious where do all these so called 'impoverished people' get all these thousands of dollars to pay these 'Coyotes' to take their children/ whole families to the US border ????
If those people are poor and basically have no work, how are they getting the cash???? Loans from a bank, from an entire village… or as I've heard for years that it is just a 'sob story' made up by the media…The media keeps making the allegation that 'thousands are being spent by 'desperate mothers to have their children taken to the US, yet absolutely no one ever asks about where do these mothers get their money??? Do they perhaps work for the drug cartels??? Do they get US Care Packages filled with cash??? There is something not right in all these stories about all these poor mothers paying out thousands for their children…as a former journalist, I'm really doubting all these stories are true. The kids are true, but not this crap about the money because no one ever even questions it…what happened to "follow the money trail"orders from the Editors?!

Same goes for China, suddenly feeling ashamed for what their neighbour, Mongolia did to Europe under Gengis Khan, and starts urging Mongolia to start paying reparations to all European countries that the Mongol hordes destroyed with China also contributing payments, out of shame for having Mongols as their neighbor… What logic! It's simply astounding!rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Patriotismus

"The Patria is the only possible collective destiny. If we reduce it to something smaller, say to the home or the plot of ground, then we are left with an almost physical relationship alone; if we extend it to the world, we get lost in a conception too vague to be grasped. It is exactly the Patria which on a physical basis forms a differentiation in the universal order; it is precisely that which binds together, and at the same time differentiates within the universal order, the destiny of a whole people; it is, as we always say, a unity of destiny within the Universal."

The above reminds me of the Woody Allen film, "A Walk With Love And Death" in which in some scenes, he has his plot of ground with a miniature house in his pocket as his legacy to remind him of his family and country. It is a hilarious film as are most of his films.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." Samuel Johnson
In Dr. Johnson's famous dictionary, patriotism is defined as the last resort of a scoundrel, but, really, with all due respect to an enlightened but inferior lexicographer, I beg to submit that it is the first and always has been.
"Patriotism is the willingness to kill and be killed for trivial reasons." Bertrand Russell.
With ,again, all due respect to Mr. Russell, the above could just as well describe a quick trip to the nearest 7-11 in most American cities, including Mars, Pennsylvania! laugh
The old quote of "My country right or wrong" is like saying, "My mother, or wife, drunk or sober!"
I've always liked George Bernard Shaws take on patriotism: "Patriotism is a pernicious, psychopathic form of idiocy."applause
Which is rather close to Oscar Wilde's take: "Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious."
George Jean Nathan comes closer to todays world with : "Patriotism is often an arbitrary veneration of real estate above principles." as with being told to enlist for the war for terror by serving GOD…Gold, Oil and Drugs.
Which leads to Voltaire with "Once the people begin to reason, all is lost!"laugh (don't worry, they're to lazy!)
Let's face it, the world is indeed populated in the main by people who should not exist and as long as they do, wars and the call to the dumb and dumber will continue unabated with the ultimate appeal to all true patriots of all countries to "Join the Army; travel to exotic, distant lands; meet exciting, unusual ,but usually brown, little peoples, and kill them!"uh oh

RE: Who is behind ISIS?

The most ancient universal symbol if both Life and Earth is Inanna, from Sumer/ Egypt/ Babylon and most others. She is also known by many other names, including Isis. She of the original Eve, thousands of years before being adopted by wandering Semetic tribes who concocted and basically stole the ancient creation myths from Sumerian(Shin'ar) History/ myths.
Read their full creation myths , known as the Enuma Elish, and the Epic of Etana. The Seven Tablets of Creation by L.W. King
Penn.U has been working on a ill dictionary of the Sumerian language for several years and have now 2 volumes published, Sumerian is the oldest know language on this planet from which most languages are traced back to. There is no records of where Sumerian comes from or even developed. It is the key to our origins.

RE: Health experts: Diseases at border becoming 'crisis

IF they come here ILLEGALLY they are NOT immigrants. My Grand Parents immigrated here from Italy, in the early 1900's. Immigrants have the paper work to be here.. illegals DONT![/quote

What a juvenile thing to say…in colonial times starting in let's say 1607 until 1800 there were no immigration controls by either Natives or white Europeans . No one had 'papers'…you landed , went to the bathroom and walked off to find a Tavern-bar and a rooming hose if you had any money, or some hay in a livery stable.
If you or anyone is so worried about 'illegals', form an American Union as the EU, with all the central and South American countries, open up all borders for the free movement of trade and people, and then there will be no more 'illegals'!

RE: "Out of normal" places

For a good description of the ruins first discovered by Russian Sub off the coast of Cuba and many others discovered along sunken coast lines dating back to the ice age and beyond, see the book "Underworld" by author Graham Hancock,2002, Random House,Canada Over 30 towns and cities of the coasts of India alone, some hundreds of miles out to sea. One of the best features of this book is that it has a world map of where the ancient coasts used to be for many countries which is only a hint as to what may be found; depth and distance from modern shorelines equals the time many ruins sank. Great book, as all his books are; 769 pages!

RE: Who is behind ISIS?

Look beyond the name, as in 'Isis Revealed' Look closely at the Muslim symbol on any Mosque of what most mistake for a half moon; and compare that to the symbol of Isis the Goddess of ancient Egypt…the 'coincidental name/ letters that spell Isis; the coincidence of connections via the ancient Apis Bull, the ancient Isis cult which is still alive and the Osiris cult should be obvious, but is it mere coincidence or is there something else going on that brings to mind the world's most ancient cult and bears thinking about all the symbology at play.

RE: post a song you never get tired of....

Ah, who doesn't, I've got lots; sometimes it's nearly all a group has done, like CCR or nearly all the early Stones but to bring it down to one, I'd go with that fantastic Rock & Roll song writer and performer John Stewart with his hit "Gold" back in 1979. It can never be outdated.

RE: Star Wars bar

Battlestar was a good show and so was the original but they had no alien bars with drunken Cylons. Firefly , as far as I can remember had only humans as did Bladerunner; no aliens. What I see as 'alien' fits the basic humanoid form, as based on an internal composite study by the FBI back in the early 70's of several hundred reported alien encounters by witness's spanning over 20 years, by a team from which emerged the term 'exobiologist'. Parts of this material of reported cases can be found in the book"The FBI Files: The FBI's UFO Top Secrets Exposed" by well known author Nicholas Redfern,1997. The basic 'alien' composite has remained the same through out countless descriptions over centuries; no third eye or eyes waving about on stalks; no animal snouts, bipedal with 2 arms and opposable thumbs; no claws,or antenna, etc. etc. Basically they were almost as us in general appearances. Only real visual differences were their height; up to nearly 8 feet and corresponding weights indicative of the gravity effects on their planets. All a very far distance from those pathetic inventions in the Star Wars Bar and most Sci-Fi movies.
The internal study was conducted by order from then Director J. Edgar Hoover who took umbrage at all the military intelligence agencies as well as the CIA regarding Alien reports and possible contact. They , seemingly all conspired to keep him and the FBI out of all loops pertaining to UFO's and Alien encounters. A completely different level from the Hollywood type of depictions which was actually encouraged by the US Air Force as their view was that anyone reporting a UFO or aliens "was and is a sign of mental derangement" which dated from as far back as 1948 to the 1970's. They still discourage their own astronauts and pilots from actually filing any such reports. (Regulations published in J.A.N.P.146, 1953; "a crime punishable with detention of up to ten years and a fine of $10,000 dollars or divulging any information whatsoever on any unidentified sighting."
The Aliens were trying to be noticed from all the reports over the decades; it's a wonder some didn't show up in an actual bar for some drinks out of frustration in dealing with the US military "Intelligence"rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Star Wars bar

The interior of the so called "Star Wars Bar", aka the "Mos Eisley Cantina" was in the Atelstree studios in London while the exterior bar was located in the town of Ajim, Tunisia. It sadly, was never build there, unlike several other portions of the sets, which still stand and are great tourist attractions in Matmata, Tunisia.
I've always found movie or TV series alien bars rather "disneyesque"/ childish. Only well done bar scenes and set that I've seen were in the Babylon 5 series. Much more adult, Imo.

RE: decoding the very exsictence of the unknown

You could always try decoding the Voynich Manuscript…It is written in an unknown language and in an unknown writing system, dated to the early 15th Century.
The world's best cryptographers have all studied it and have all failed to decode it , since WW1 and 2. So far, all modern computers attempts to decode it have also failed.
All attempts to identify any of the drawings it contains have also proved impossible. It remains one of the world's great mysteries…The unknown is a dark matter, indeed...laugh
