RE: Just Chat

I remember a divorce case in Wah. DC in which a woman filed for it. She had 5 children, been married 5 years ...When asked why she wanted a divorce, she stated that he husband had only spoken 5 times to her during their marriage, saying only one word.
She was granted the divorce within the hour...
Yes, there really are relationships in which communication is virtually and totally impossible no matter how one may try to communicate or the other only ever says one word. Makes one wonder just word it was...rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Is it important for your partner to have the same religious believes as you?

It could be, especially if you happen to be a religious fanatic of any denomination. It helps keep focus on protest marches, making firebombs to throw at the various organizations or people you have labeled as enemies of your own peculiar/ particular God.It's nice to have a full time crime friend and a challenge when being hunted. Loneliness never enters the equation at least not until one is killed and one has to go on alone out of revenge and then you start to lose your focus and start making mistakes...wine

RE: What's the biggest secret.....

Pardon all the sudden typos....oh well...

RE: What's the biggest secret.....

What I had to hide was my 'art' from around the age of ten because of the very negative response from one. Anger, disbelief; yelling at me and ripping up all they saw. The 'art' was at first in cartoon form, really bad drawings of a certain person that my parents were obsessed with and I was totally ignored; basically left alone to do as I wanted. This 'art' was my way of coping with being ignored, not really cared about or what I did or where I went. The certain person became a figure that I took out all my emotions on and learned to make fun of them as they seemed to regard that person as something "sacred". That person was all they could talk about even when their friends or work colleagues came over for visits.
As the years passed that resent, eat and anger matured into good art but had a much harder edge to the poking fun at, mocking them and disparaging them in everyday possible. The art stayed well hidden and was never found. No one ever knew. It then became my way of entertaining myself when bored or stressed. I never gave it up and never, ever showed a living soul because of who that person was and caused such adverse and sometimes violent reactions from people, both 'pro and con'. It was only several years ago that I explained why I had boxes of art works packed away to one of my children and finally unpacked most of my drawings. In today's world they would be classed as 'political' in the extreme and most likely as hilarious by many. As present circumstances go, I'd consider them worth publishing, but with absolutely no contacts to that world, I at times still do the drawings out of habit and black humour. Forget the internet; I can live very well without all the hell those drawing would cause and the negative publicity that would ensue. It simply would not be worth it.sigh

RE: Americans

It won't matter as after the take over by either figurehead, and all the disgust they have generated no one will be around to effectively oppose them. After a lifetime in writing about politics, especially in the US, it is as von Clausewitz so apply phrased it,"Politics is the womb in which war(s) is developed". I see another major war within 6 months to a year at most. Makes one wonder how many gullible good ones are left that will still cling to the old outdated belief of 'my country, right or wrong...' I will join up to die", when in reality, neither candidate will truly represent any " genuinely good Americans"let alone the entire country.
When the war drums start, it may be wiser to think which is more important, an external war started by your own so called leaders, or a country free of the vilest forms of total corruption allowed to grow for decades and still manages to get even worse day by day...sigh

RE: What do you find as the Most Romantic City to visit?

If it's to be on a 'honeymoon', then the place doesn't really matter as you'd spend most of the time in bed, not out buying stupid trinkets or knock-off famous brand items.
Your room will have some sort of bed or just a cheap mattress and perhaps squeaky springs to irritate your neighbours all day and night except for when you phone down for burgers etc. The only 'sight-seeing' that will happen is between the two of you at each other, so in the end, you finally leave exhausted to return to your crummy little apt. or duplex; rest up for a day or two and you both go back to the jobs you hate and see people you'd rather not...back to reality leaving you with a sense that you seem to missed something on your 'honeymoon'...wine

RE: GOTCHA! Trump Caught on tape...

Within a day or two, he'll deny he ever said anything like the above or he'll say the leftist media has purposely misquoted/ misinterpreted whatever he had or will ever say ...and it will all blow-over as all his past 'alleged' remarks.
Funny, back when he wanted to become the candidate for the enfeebled Republican Part, I had the feeling that he actually wanted to destroy it for being so negative to his overtures...
What I'm somewhat surprised at is that he hasn't claimed that, hey, 'dis iz da way most 'merican' men talk anyhows, whuts da big deal!' in his best 'gangsta/ truck-driver accent..laugh

RE: TO BE ELECTED PRESIDENT A PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST SHOULD BE REQUIRED

It may be wiser to apply any psychological test to all voters as well as all candidates.
You're not voting!? Hell, I'd swim the Rio Grande or get into Laredo vote and go back if I were Mexican! It would be worth the effort. If Clinton wins, big parties on the border I hear from several Mexicans living here...laugh

RE: ”…friens first” = impotent

When it comes to deciphering whether someone is an idiot or a hypocrite, just go with your instinct. If you are able to understand their post, they may not be an idiot but still may be disturbed. Just not enough to be institutionalized...yet.
Try adjusting your limited definition of hypocrite, as though English is elastic, it doesn't include those who do not state their 'agenda' or opinions; one does have to read or hear them first and compare that with other statements...wine

RE: Non Asian Invasion

That may be true; saw some results on a poll taken all over Europe, 1500 white males in each country and the Brits had the highest percentage of wearing women's clothing/ underwear everyday...17%! The highest in all of Europe...That says a lot....Just imagine some good follow-up polls based on that...like would you want one of those so called 'men'??rolling on the floor laughing

Excellent advice, and don't forget ; remain flexible as to those 'spur of the moment' desires or needs as they arise in all relationships, in both the old style 'romances' as in other types...Those can be invigorating or a nuisance...wine

RE: Which is your prefered country for vacations this summer ?

Arrived at Merida July 10th left Mexico Sept.5th

Lots of Mexicans around the Chipilo, State of Puebla still speak French as also in Veracruz; makes one wonder that if the French had stayed how much better off the country might be...and given the history of peaceful independence for all its colonies, how Mexico would have fared; would there have been a counter revolution such as the Cristeros had to wage against the neo- bolsheviks that took over the Mexican govt in the 1920's. and immediately began outlawing the Catholic Church and then murdering priests, burning churches and killing even peons for attending mass....would it have become as vile and corrupt as it still is today as opposed to the former French colonies that flourished and prospered in post-colonial times. They alone in all of Africa have stable, prosperous economies, no food shortages, their governments are well run and their models of the French civil services are outstanding in a continent with endemic tribal and ethnic warfare which continue to hold them hostage to being underdeveloped, poor in every sense and barely above the state of primitive savagery For myself, it's a shame that the clock of history could not/ cannot be reset and somehow substitute the French for the Spanish who left so much devastation behind. I tend to look at the roads not taken and wonder what if...and I take the roads no one takes; always have. I loathe conventional thinking and prefer being politically incorrect...that for me is real life and more fun.wine

Hobo With A Shotgun is just as entertaining and romantic with sophisticated charm and exciting four letter words and phrases that would cause a member of Hell's Angels to blush...laugh laugh

RE: Which is your prefered country for vacations this summer ?

For sheer pleasures of relaxing, having what I call fun; exploring ancient ruins, hiking through jungles, enjoying all the amenities of beach resorts, it has to be Yucatan either from Cozumel Island or the old town of Merida. No cartels, friendly people and tourists better than the herds that visit most of Mexico. This time perhaps for a month or 2 and no rush to return...laugh wine

RE: Hats off to immigrants

rolling on the floor laughing Not only is my citizenship irrelevant but it is fairly recent as I at long last left the US for a more civilized place to live, turning in my US citizenship that I was saddled with as a child thanks to my father who went to work at your alleged 'intelligence agency in Langley..(CIA, in case you don't know what Langley, VA is)
You're fortunate that I stopped where I did not even mentioning all the Confederate soldiers that had their citizenship cancelled when their State seceded from the US. After the war they were supposed to turn themselves in for officially swearing in to become US citizens again with an oath of loyalty. Needless to say most never did. . I'll leave it for you to figure that out as to does that make their descendants legals or not. Learn your history and you need not be so hateful and small minded and bigoted.

RE: Is still possibile to go to live in England?

How strange it is that the headscarves and burkas are totally optional in Tunisia and Morocco, both Muslim countries and many women prefer to simply wear jeans and sorted tops. They have their minority 'lunatic fringe' as do many countries around the world that want to control what clothes people wear or cannot wear. Even in the US, the sect known as Puritans tried to force their bizarre obsessions unto others; many of the "Fundamentalists' there are desperate to control people's dress, morals, politics, opinions, etc. They are just as 'mental' as any of the radical Muslim sects; just mirror images of each other. Both should be rounded up and put into mental hospitals...in Siberia.

RE: For the Girls !!!...

Horrible idea; far too many women AND men would leave messages, etc. out of spite. Men would also have to have equal abilities for leaving messages, in codes or not. Both act/ say things out of spite. No one would be happy with that and technically, it could leave open the possibility for a law-suit of defamation/ slander against both the site and the person who posted it...bad idea, but good sentiment.grin

RE: Next British Prime Minister...Who?

I'd love to see John Cleese and Eric Idle become co- Prime Ministers. Just think, the Ministry of Silly Walks could then become legal! Julian Assange would cause a mass revolt against honesty... laugh

RE: Hats off to immigrants

" Most Americans are descendants of legal immigrants."

Oh??? So, prior to 1790 with the first set of laws pertaining to immigration, then repealed in 1798, to be re-writen as requiring 14 years residence and a 3 year notice to apply for citizenship, later repealed in favour of the act of 1812, any and all were then guilty of being illegal immigrants . This includes your darling New England religious lunatics called Puritans, the settlers of Jamestown and numerous other towns etc. established before proper immigrant controls were put into place though never recognized by the native population nor were they ever in fact, even consulted. The British authorities certainly never bothered when they had rule over all the colonies on both legal and moral grounds. Many of the soldiers that served under the British flag stayed behind rather than return to Europe, especially the German, Scottish and Welsh who crossed over the Allegheny mountains into territories not under any colonial authority. More illegal immigrants. Same with all the Catholic immigrants that settled Maryland in 1634. None were ever pressed to explain how they had arrived even after the revolution, but were 'made citizens' without any notice or consultation...same with all the Spanish that settled into Calif. and Texas, etc. in the mid 1500's...the lists are endless All their combined descendants are / were "illegal immigrants" and being declared 'citizens' en masse by the mere fact that they had been there for generations, does seem to be technically, at least, 'illegal descendants' of originally illegal immigrants....despite the 14th Amendment in 1868, an all inclusive law, making everyone legal whether they knew it or not, without notice, or consultation; a violation of their basic rights as people...oh, the irony with todays dilemmas over so called 'illegals'...Illegals being called illegal by other illegals...laugh

RE: Women & boxes ????

For both 'casual' or dress, choose a pair of Brogues, caps, black; lace up or loafer style. To wear with jeans, go for Chuck Taylors, low-cuts,black or white, lace-ups, with or without white socks..or, last but least, a pair of good sandals, no socks. Just make sure your toe-nails are trimmed and your feet are washed...laugh

RE: Women and movies

Is this similar to when a woman walks through a forest and falls down, does anyone hear??

RE: woman

Not so sure that any 'truth' can brighten anyone's day. Respect for 'truth' comes close to being the basis for all morality; something cannot emerge from nothing. To those who understand how unstable any truth can be, it's not so profound How often it is that the angry person rages denials of what their inner self is telling them... Truth belongs to those with the greatest amount of lies that surround it; the usual bodyguard of lies. Never forget that cynicism, though unpleasant, is a way of saying the 'truth'. I always liked Mulder's version: "The Truth is out there"...nobody can own it; we just can't find it...laugh wine
