I have discussed this with my children. If I get to the point where I cannot take care of myself or I get an incurable illness then they have my permission to assist me with my wishes.
Season 2 of “Making a Murderer” is been released bu Netflix on the 19th. I watched season 1. (10 episodes) over two wet and windy days last year. Glued from start to finish. A true story!
It was autumn, and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was an Indian Chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets.
When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the weather was going to be. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.
Also, being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?"
"It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed," the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.
A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Is it going to be a very cold winter?"
"Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's definitely going to be a very cold winter." The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find.
Two weeks later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?"
"Absolutely," the man replied. "It's going to be one of the coldest winters ever."
"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked.
The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting fire wood like crazy."
I know some of the kindest most loving and giving people to walk this earth and that do so much good that instead of been rewarded have been burdened with so much hardship, grief and sadness. On the other hand, I have seen pure evil people that instead of drawing judgements and suffering have been bestowed with nothing but goodness!
When the RCC had its brutal clutches on the people in Ireland they sold them the poor story, poverty will get you everywhere blah, blah... whilst they feasted at the top table! What they failed to inform their followers was that the Vatican is a tiny state of 800 inhabitants and 1.3 billion sheeples... it is the 4th most powerful country in the world and it is dripping with Gold and priceless paintings. It’s bank is associated with scandal and corruption and death! They have cost Goverments around the world Billions to pay for the evils perpetrated by RCC priests on the most innocent of Gods creatures; babies and little children. Devils masquerading in the cloak of our Lord! The God I believe in is one of unconditional love!
According to Gardner there are 9 Types of Intellegence. Because most of us have been educated within the Industrial Revolution model of education (which is completely outdated for this modern world) we tend to use it as a marker for Intellegence, it is not! I believe that everyone has amazing potential within and it takes all sorts of thinking and doing to make up this world! However, it is very concerning the amount of people who use drugs and alcohol that has such a severe impact on their minds!u
No! I don’t invite strangers into my home on Skype or FaceTime! And I have no desire to see rhem in their dens! Anyways, men are visual creatures they like to see where women are auditory creatures, we love to hear... especially nice things
I think that is the problem. Boys don’t get enough credit for being young gentlemen! I love the generation that are emerging into young men. They are open, honest and non judgemental.. Society puts so much hurdles in their way!
I have always switched off the tv and spoke with my children when they were young. Sort of armed then for the hurdles. As adults, they tell me that was their greatest memory as a child. The loved us time! We covered everything!! Ha
According to Connell... there are 4 kinds of Masculinities.. I think it is very tough on younger men to try and live up to an image. Older men are more confident in their own skin!
The Boy Who Cried Wolf There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!" The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces. "Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill. Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away. When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!" But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more. Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!" But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come. At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping. "There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?" An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village. "We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"
