Enough will never be Enough for them. That is one of the reasons the younger generation, the non-voters, are squeezed out. Conversely, the development of a nation is dependent on highly educated, quality and skilled Human Resources. As an example, just look to the VULTURED Healthcare Systems as evidence...
This is one example when 'Enough is not Enough' it is about knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing.. It is happening all the time.
When I see young couples buying 4-5 bedroomed houses for their 2.1 children and they have a new car each, usually a SUV.. Their Children are left into creches at 7am and picked up at 7pm, some having been in school during the day! The average cost is €400 for 2 children per week.
I feel so sorry for those children, these are years that can never be reclaimed. Why cannot they do with the affordable house, the affordable car and let dad out to work and mom mind the children or vice versa. Children are so precious and priceless and are babies and toddlers for such a short time. They learn half of everything they are going to learn by the time they are 2.5 yrs. old and they are not learning it from their parents: they also learn by example. Cars depreciate and often house prices fall but that don't seem to factor in... Children are for life, and for them, happiness and contentment starts the day they are born.
I think BW, people with your type of mindset are happiest in life. However, I believe that people nowadays seldom sit down and really reflect on where they are at and what they want from life! They are being pressurized from all angles to BUY happiness!
We live in a society where ‘Enough is never Enough’ more money, bigger houses, better partner, better job, more beautiful, fitter, slimmer etc, etc an these all come at a major cost!! In general, we do not volunteer to work with the most unfortunate in society, so we can only pitch our situation against what the Marketeers tells us what we should aspire to in life.
