Hope you have a lovely evening DeeDee Being a Gut person rather than a Heart or Head person I tend to be Judgmental. I would never judge someone based on colour, race or religion. It would be based on values, personality, behaviors and body language.... and it would not be a final judgement, rather being cautious. I think it is very important to be able to judge others and it is may not necessary a bad thing.

In 1980 the minimum wage in the USA in 1980 was $3.10 if Trump was giving workers 16 hrs per day at $4.00 for 7 days there were getting $448 per week compared to the regular 9-5 worker getting $124 per week. I think the term "permission" is correct. Paying for everything, time and time again, over many months, without any form of reciprocation is permitting that other person to take advantage. The poster finally withdrew her permission from him to take advantage! Given that she was aware of his selfishness from the start, she could have done that at any time but choose not to... In life, we often receive a lesson or a blessing..
