We have been under the US since 1898. The Americans came to the Philippines to annihilate them during the Spanish American war. We were under the Spaniards since 1521, and there was a 300 year revolution of the Filipinos against them before they came. The Spaniards surrendered to the Americans in literally one week.
Since then we had been under their rule which was good because they did not only build bridges, schools and roads but that they completely made our school system the same from the US.
We would have been the 50th state before Hawaii and or Alaska. To cut the story short we do have a very close relationship with the US and that the men literally prefer to marry the Filipino women of which a staggering number as of today is very high.
And yes in general, there is a good chance that Filipinos love to marry Western men. In reality there are more western men who prefer to marry Filipinos.

Instinc, yes it is time consuming to read all the post really and by the time you have read it all, it has become so convoluted (your understanding, I mean) because of the digression it went through. lol..

Thanks for asking, I had a ball. So many of my relatives missed me and they set up a reunion and we had so much fun and foods. I can't upload any of the pictures, it keeps saying it is way too big.
