I agree it does get that way when they've been together for so long. Its the same with my mom since my father passed away 4 years ago. I wouldn't call it you being selfish.. I would say its a great opportunity for you to try and payback your dad a small fraction of what he did for you as a parent. I consider taking care of one's parent(s) as one of the highest honors one can have. I'm sure you'll do well too..
Well I figure as long as I'm doing something that doesn't seem like "work" it still counts as retirement..
Plus I will have a team that will handle most of the work.. I'll just be managing overall. My livelihood doesn't depend on it either way so its all good.
