I hate the jail type and I do like a real man (one who works hard, but is not a workaholic, can have fun legally like dancing, playing pool, etc., and is caring).
1. I don't wear tight clothing, but I sure as hell ain't going to wear something too frumpy and/or too baggy.
2. I like when men check me out (I'm totally single, why not??!!). And yes, I've had a couple of women that came up to me to say they like the way I look or they liked my shoes. But no, I'm not into that, thanks.
3. I always say "hello" and I'm always polite to compliments.
Of my experience on them (since Dec. 2004 off and on), I had some luck and then I didn't.
One I really got along with real good and things were going great, until after the 3rd date he dropped off of the face of the earth. I think he said he was moving, but he never told me goodbye. Oh well.
I know you wouldn't, but it seems it won't stop, so I have to go on and just (after this year) go back and do it the old fashioned way: start going out every weekend and meet someone like that again.
I don't mind getting a flower from someone or a message, but some, after that, when they meet me, they aren't what they say they are. Too many people are deceiving, conniving, and lie all the time. That's just not my thing, you dig...I don't like that. I don't do that to them, so why do that to me.
Well, I've had too many damn people putting me down in this town and on these sites. And no, my phone doesn't take pics. I have a cheap cell phone and I only like to use it if I have a call or have to make a call. I'm simple, not complicated.
I've a couple of close calls to having a real relationship from dating sites, but somehow their "true colors" showed and lied to me too. So, I have some trust issues about people I meet from dating sites ( I know what you're going to say: why should they trust you then?). But that's okay, after December I'm done with this crap. Sorry...I've said enough.
I'm like this, if you can't take me seriously and know that I'm truthful about my age, then you are wasting my time and yours...enough now...thanks...
Yeah, I've been on dating sites since Dec. of 2004 and after this December I'm officially going to quit. I'll be moving in March and be starting fresh. But I think I'll do it the way I like to do it: meet in person for now on.
There's nothing but rude people on this world, these days. Some of the rudest, I've met, were on dating websites (and no, I won't be here anymore after this year is over). Some just flat out lied about everything about them. I know the last 3 dates I had did.
The only reason why I'm on a dating website because I tired of having to leave home, every damn weekend, to meet someone. Especially in this small town, where people talk about you and treat you like crap when they do see you. But I'm going to be moving in 6 months from now, so after December I'm through with dating sites.
Yes, I know this, sweety, but I really am 31 (will be 32 in January). Okay, enough said. I have never lied about my age and I'm not going to start now. People that do are losers anyway. I had a guy, about a month ago, lied about his damn age and I knew better. He said he was only 40. That m*********** was about 55 or some crap like that.
I don't lie to people and I damn sure would appreciate it if they didn't do it to me either.....There's my 2 cents in...
I've only had 2 dates in the past that wanted to see my ID. They didn't believe that I am 31. So, I knew that these guys were not for me and it scared me in some way too.
I mean, what the hell does a 31 have to look like?
Okay, I workout everyday, take a shower 2 times a day, take care of my teeth, hair, nails and such, and wear a size 6. Does that necessarily make look like I'm only 20??!! I think not!!!
Just because a lot of other women (my age) are letting themselves go, doesn't mean I have too!!! WHATEVER!!!
Sometimes it's great to watch some of them make a fool out of themselves, stumbling all over, and getting cut off. Sometimes it's funny to watch, but I laugh under my breath.
1. He said on a Thursday, that he would like to meet me on Saturday afternoon. So, I called him again on Saturday and he said, "I'm at my mother's house doing her lawn". And I said, "What!? You forgot or something?!" and he said that he did forget that he was going to do her lawn that Saturday. So, I was like, "You knew since Thursday that you had too and now you're just telling me this!" and he said, "yeah, sorry". WHATEVER!! I dropped him big time!
2. Another one said that he truly wanted to meet me. So, on the day we were supposed to meet he drops a bomb and says, "I really don't think I can hang with you and such. I'd rather just sit at your house and just talk". I said, "Well, thanks for telling me the truth and having me waste the plans on where to go and such!!". So, I dropped him too.
That's a terrible alcoholic, when you can't go a day without it. Thank God I was never like that. But still my "binge drinking", 1 time every other week, was not good for me either. I couldn't imagine everyday like that. Wow!! that's bad...
I wasn't a serious alcoholic (drink everyday or anything like that). I was a 1 time every other weekend drinker. But when I did drink I didn't know when to say "Okay, that's enough. Give me a Diet Coke".
I was what they called a "binge drinker". Doesn't drink everyday, is still functional in their regular life, but when it comes to the alcohol issue doesn't know when to say "that's enough". That was me, every other weekend.
Well, yeah, but I have more fun than I ever had when I was drinking. I don't come home with a bloated stomach anymore, I'm not sick either, and I can remember the entire evening and even the bartenders like me too. So, it's all good for me. This works for me.
But I'm different. I used it to relax, have fun, and such, but I didn't when to stop and I would not remember the last 1 hour of the evening. And that happened every time I dranked. And sometimes I would get cut-off and had to go home. So I knew I had to quit. It just wasn't fun anymore.
I've quit drinking just a few months ago and it's great. I still go out and have fun (that will never change!! For sure!!), but I know I don't have to drink to have fun.
But a couple of times I've had some men who came up to me and asked me if they would like to buy me a drink. I said, "yeah. Can I have a diet coke or a ginger ale?" And after I said that the guy was like, "Well, I'm not wasting my money if you aren't going to drink something!". I said I am drinking something and he walked away. This happened a couple of times.
Why are some men like that? Are there really men out there who likes women who don't drink?? Are there men out there that don't mind buying the lady a non-alcoholic beverage??
Hell, even the bartenders like talking to me now!!
I went to a bar in downtown Prescott and this female bartender was talking to me like she wanted to be my best friend! That has never happened when I dranked. She even told me that she doesn't either and likes being a bartender, because she can still have fun while serving drinks.
I noticed that a lot. There's a lot of them (bartenders) who don't drink and I like that too. It makes me feel real good inside.
Well, I went out again, last week and it was great. I remembered the entire evening, didn't get sick, and actually danced better too. I didn't drink again.
All I have to think about is the feeling of being sick, people talking about me at the bar, and the bartender getting ready to cut me off is all it takes for me to not drink. I just have to think about those things and I won't drink. I think that's good therapy, huh? Using a "focal points method" or something like that. Stay focused.
