Oooooo, a time capsule. OK. My parents, and the parents of everyone that I knew when I was young, never wasted a thing, probably because they lived through the Great Depression, and the austerity of WWII.
Their children, my generation, me, Have known nothing but abundance. In the 1970's, we were outraged at the way that excess polluted the planet, but then we all got, jobs, married, raised families, and forgot about the whole pollution thing.
It wasn't our parents that did it.
It is us.
Our children are where we were in the 70's. Will they do any better?
