Well, well, well, Mitchell, looks like ya were successful in making everyone happy. And that includes those who are happiest when they are finding fault with someone else.

When the remark about less spare time and needing a job was made, I saw nothing else posted, but the comment on the poem. So, of course, it appeared that it was directed at the op. It appears that the field of to whom it was directed was VERY narrow at that point.

I read Mitchell's reply, and I see no trace of "bad day attitude" in it. Because of remarks like these, many have stopped posting on cs, and they have left. Soon there will be only those of you who agree with each other and it should be smooth sailing for you in the future.

It's sad when people can't simply communicate and leave the sarcasm out, simply agree to disagree and be respectful.

Just my thoughts....

It still seems to me that many have missed the point....it has happened to me, too. It's not the age..it's not usually the looks....BUT, I simply do NOT want to start out any new relationship with lies or deception. Some men that I met were at least 100 lbs. heavier than their pictures. I do not necessarily mind a big man, but I DO MIND deception.

I was thinking, Maybe Canada doesn't care who visits them, and the US. does.????????

Heather, it can't hurt to get a Passport...even if you don't have any immediate travel in mind. It won't be long before you'll need one to go anywhere outside the US....especially if you go by plane.

My suggestion would be to get the forms now (many Post Offices have them), get pic taken, and send away. The Holiday season is coming up, so it might take a bit longer to get one, but then you will have it and not have to give it a thought for years.

It's an excellent ID anywhere!

I don't think I have any strikes against ME tonite....I was so busy I never caught up with ya.

Aside from jabbing at Charlie, I've been a good girl today......except, I booted a scammer....he's cancelled...it took about an hour. I blocked 2 guys...well, actually one...but he had two profiles and two names...gotta see if he's cancelled yet.....

The good news...none of em were on this site! Guess we've got a pretty clean act going over here these days.

Speaking of clean act...now that my plumbing problem is fixed I had a lot of sink and tub scrubbing to do tonite.

I care very much who reads my profile....N ot everyone reads a profile because they are romantically interested.....hell, I'm so old that practically none are romantically interested....BUT, some are...and I'm not about to miss that opportunity. One can never tell if someone across the country might just move to Florida to get out of the cold.

Ship....we've gotta turn that negative attitude into something positive....I think it's about time you got your tail up this way for a cuppa coffee!!

Hey, if ya don't want anyone to see you viewed them, can't you turn off the view counter and look til your hearts content. Then, see what they have posted and if anything interests you, just begin posting where they post....and then, answer something they say...and then...well, you get it.

Now let's talk about a woman being the first responder....There are responses and there are responses. I read the profile and some postings first....If I find something in the postings interesting, that's how I start the message...Everything doesn't have to be a come-on. And, if the guy is shy, I certainly don't come on like gangbusters. However, if he has an outgoing personality like mine, we usually have no problem communicating from the start. Romance.....who knows....but, these days even friendships can be great. And, maybe one of your friendships has a friend who might have chemistry with you....don't overlook a thing gang. Don't miss a trick.

For the ones who might feel that I act like a know it all....I'm not....However, I have lived longer than many on here...and, during those years, I have not lacked in making mistakes. Hopefully I have learned from them and have come out wiser. But, there isn't anyone on here who cannot do the same...if they really want to.

I've on Grandma duty tonight and won'[t be back til after 10. Then I have a phone date...You see, my dear friend, I'd love to find that "porch of my own" where I can sit with my sweetie, one of these days.

Sometimes it's a good thing to miss something...if I'm lucky, when I get here, those threads are locked and deleted and I don't have to undergo the turmoil....yes, Don...ignorance IS bliss.

The Red Hat Lady says try reading it again...slowly....if the first and last letters of each word are correct, you can sound it out and will get it.....now practice......

Unfortunately for some, The Red Hat Lady isn't upset in the least by this. I've read it before and find it VERY clever. Good humor is humorous....whether spelled correctly or not.

Hell, even correct, well-written words are grossly mis-understood by some. Maybe it's all in the attitude.

I think it's a Good post.....I enjoyed it....I've got a good attitude......most of the time.

Women should NOT be driven ANYWHERE....You'd probably get a much BETTER performance out of a woman if you lift her up and gently carry her into the bedroom, placed her on the bed and proceeded from there.

She is surely able to provide you with a map to the best places for sightseeing and recreation. Trust me, guys, this ole lady didn't get wise overnight.....it's called "wisdom of the ages."

But, whatever you do, don't forget your key.

I'm here to say....AND....WITH great AUTHORITY......................50 is NOT OLD.!!


It shouldn't be called, "Act your age", it should be called "Act with maturity". That can come at almost any age...........But............the problem is that those without it just don't recognize that they haven't got it,............. until they GET it.

Anyone can understand that there are MANY things we would have liked to do when we were much younger, but life didn;t present us with the time or the money...If you have both now...hell....have a ball with those cars and boats and toys....and, please don't let your brother put a damper on what you've been able to acquire......and, if you were a really good brother, you wouldn't even tell him, "I told you so."...when he gets to be 50.

I really like the emos....I take my time choosing the ones I think are right for what I'm trying to say.

I seem to use a lot, in addition to most of the ones you mentioned. Actually, they're pretty much all good. We have to be sure we get across what's supposed to be humor, or feathers get ruffled.
