There's not too many men in these neck of the woods who'll invest in romance and they appear to have short hands and long pockets when it comes to the wining/dining(I'd always offer to go 50/50 anyways).

As I said.....given up on that charade unfortunately.
Our cat already does chatter.....with everyone. It's hello, goodbye, thank you for patting me, I'm jumping up/down now, joins in on the conversation in the household.
She chats to people walking by the house and walks with them. I kid you not. I had a knock on my door the other day......a woman....who was concerned our cat had wandered so far away from our property with them...
I told her not to worry.....she always comes home.
I guess if she could actually verbalise in English....it'd be something mushy like "I love you all"....
