...or is it because believers are distrusting of non-believers?
I steer well clear of religious discussion these days for very good reason.
I don’t personally have an issue with believers/non-believers. What I do have a problem with are extremists from opposing ends of the religious spectrum.
First ~ if there is such a thing as a soulmate, he was it.
Second ~ we had a 17 year on/off relationship. He asked me to marry him 3X, though I declined each time. His lifestyle wasn't conducive to raising a family in. We eventually drifted apart.
Whilst I don’t disagree with all you have to say as we certainly seem to have our regular trolls who cause mayhem, the political divisiveness has infiltrated most other threads, and not only the politically initiated threads.
I’m not sure how long you’ve been on this site, though I can honestly say things have got fairly hostile now to the extent where I, and I suspect others, no longer wish to participate like we once did.
It is generally not a very welcoming environment.
You may perceive it differently, as I notice you have an interest in politics, though isn’t CS primarily intended to be a dating site?
I believe there should be a limit on the number of political threads. This was taken on board by admin who would drop political threads out of view after some time, though it seems political OPs have found the loop-hole and bypass this ruling by posting a political thread in another category.
Sooner, rather than later, political posters will only have themselves to rip into on this site.
