There is a lot of wisdom like that around that people fail to listen to:
"We who are clay blended by the Master Potter, come from the kiln of Creation in many hues. How can people say one skin is colored, when each has its own coloration? What should it matter that one bowl is dark and the other pale, if each is of good design and serves its purpose well."
Nope...If I have to compromise who I am to be in a relationship...then it's not really me the person wants to be in a relationship with...BUT his own idea of who I should be....
People talk about a “war on terrorism”. Some cultures haven't realized that there has always been a war on terrorism. As long as human memory, there have been assassinations and harm done from group to group, on and on, endlessly. Sometimes there was a claim to a religious foundation, sometimes these were just things that happened in battles.
I'm afraid the principles of today's “war on terrorism” are the same principles as those of the game of chess, which are built on the idea that if you could capture the head of the other side or kill him, you win and then you can go off and think about something else. Evidently, somebody thinks that someday there will be an endgame in the war on terrorism. But there will never be an endgame in the war on terrorism. What we need is a beginning game for the process of peacemaking. As far as I can see, we haven't begun that yet.
North America has given only one philosophical tradition to the world, and that single philosophical tradition is pragmatism. For it to follow the principles of the Haudenosaunee Great Law, it has to be progressive pragmatism. Progressive pragmatism seeks ends that are universal and that have the quality of win-win negotiations. Both idealism — the idea that God is on someone's side — and vilification — the idea that one side is evil or fundamentally in the wrong — are barred from this process. Instead, this process lays out desirable outcomes that all sides can agree upon, and these must be adhered to through a set of protocols, because it is not possible to create peace by force and because peace requires rules that both sides embrace and honor.

Welllll for me the politicians don't impact on how I feel about the people....I call em as I see em as individuals not by country...there are awesome people and idiots all over the world...the country has nothing to do with it...OR their politicians.....That being said...Obama is probably the first politician that I have actually had any respect for....
I'm good g/f....I can't use sage...I'm allergic to it...I have been to the Seneca Rez there many times....I hung out in Buffalo and surrounding areas for 5 years because I dated someone from there....How you doin today doll?????....
Meee...I'm Mohawk...and I don't practice much of my traditional culture only burning sweetgrass once in awhile which cleanses negativity from the room and person..BUT I do spend some time learning about it...It's hard to know which is the real culture when is petty much was completely lost with the elders dying off....
It's a beautiful culture for sure and full of a lot of wisdom...
I agree...you can tell in 5 minutes if the spark or chemistry is there for sure...and you're right if it's not...it won't be....BUT not if you want to spend the rest of your life with someone....
Of course we all have problems...and yes we are at war...backing the U.S. for the wrong reasons...non-existent weapons of mass destruction...and 911 terrorists who came from Saudi Arabia...not Iraq or Afghanistan...BUT stand behind you we did..even in the face of misinformation and our soldiers are also dying every day for that support....it doesn't matter if you support the world community or not...the fact is...the U.S. is and has always been a part of it...and that won't change....
Yes and that's important to stay realistic and to do the will of the people...Frankly I can't remember if there ever has been a government in power that has done that...and not just done their own will.....
Not only shouldn't it be a one person show...BUT it shouldn't be just a government show either...it takes the people of a country to make a country run and to make changes...NOT just one man or one government....Sooooooo to the people of the U.S....I say be the changes you seek...rather than just sit back and complain that the right man isn't in power...try taking some responsibility for your own country.....
