I am sorry that you had to declare bankruptcy BUT You have friends and family and we here who love you. You peeve me a little when you apologize for your generation . Hell! Some of the best people were brought up in your generation and mine also.

Today is certainly an interesting day around here and sometimes you have to have thick skin. Not always!
A wise woman ( on this site) once told me to relax----just think about that person as a person who/whom you have never met before and is a little box on your monitor.

I know of a man on this site whose wife left him after 25 years and left him with the two youngest (of five) daughters and he seems to be wonderful with them. I lost my mind laughing when he told me he tried to change channels and the girl were watching 'The Gossip Girls' and he said they snarled at him like rabid dogs.
He is fine with the newly found single parenthood and I personally think he is going to have a great time.

I am sorry to hear that, Dazzle. I think you have a great attitude (something I think is important to a speedy recovery) and because of your experience, I truly think you will become a better doctor because of it.
I don't mean that you weren't, for sure!!!!!!

I just mean in the sense thaqt my gynecologist says ( when I have biopsy's)-This won't hurt a bit.

Well you know better that I do BUT you did move (ahuge stress), going to another job, back surgery, trying to keep your word to your late friend etc.. I see stress. I am so gald you are on the mend and so quickly at that. The people I know who have had aneurisns(sic?) had them in the stomach and head and a few just plain died.
You are a lucky man Dazzle and I hope and wish all the best to you.

I am just wondering, since I am not a Doctor, in your case , did it have to do with stress because I will always think that cancer and stress are related in some way. Just curious.

Yes you have your statement right. In fairness to all the men out there who are active in their children's lives
Sometimes it is not possible to be for some people because their ex may hide or poison the child or whatever.

I think the 'Modern' woman and the old fashioned ones from one end of the world to the other DO deserve respect if they have earned it and the same goes to the men.
Me thinks that this thread is giving me a headache for the time being.
