There is no gratification, it don't make them feel better like they want it to, they are still left empty hence the repeating behavior. Abusing others never brings satisfaction, just a bloated sense of power and entitlement which is not the same as gratification or real happiness. These people need professional help though most of them will never get it.
A psychiatrist would make a career studying the troll you see online. With most of them, if you were to meet them face to face, 99% would be too mousy to engage with you. Its easy to hide behind a screen and be nasty, you don't have to worry about anything happening to you. In real life, a lot of them probably feel inadequate and unable to find any kind of place for themselves so they go online and take out their frustrations on others while staying safe. Makes them feel like they are in control and they are calling the shots.
They do need professional help, but they will probably never get it. Some people like to dwell in misery, its like old leather, they are comfortable with it and don't want to change it.
I don't think they even bother to monitor it here much anymore. I seen stuff that should have been taken down there for days. I think there are so few real people here now, and chances are the mods have other stuff on the go, this place don't get the attention it needs sometimes.
Trolls are people who are mentally ill, but have not addressed their illness. I know, I have mental illness too but I addresses it everyday, the trolls do the opposite, they dwell in it. I feel a spot of pity for trolls to tell the truth. How miserable must your life be in order for you to go online and harass strangers who never said or done anything to you. These trolls are really ill and they need help.
lol yeah, there seems to be some kind of like/dislike war going on here. They won't say anything on the thread, but hide behind the likes. At least on fb, you see who liked/disliked your post lol.
What I like to do is when they are looking for your contact info, I will write back telling them I don't like talking online and for them to call me on my landline, than I give the # for my local police station. I tell them to ask for Hugh Jazz :)
CS is not quite the same as it was 10 years ago, scammers have really moved in and taken over. Still though, its cs and always nice to have someone thats not a scammer back in the pot again
So, ladies, who wants to go on a date with me? We can hitchhike to McDonald's where we can go dumpster diving for supper, then go to the dump with a dozen beer and shoot some rats, then hitchhike home to my mother's house where we will have 9 seconds of incredible passion (have to be quiet though) before I fall asleep (don't mind the farting, you will get used to it with enough time).
