Countless research confirms that in every significant way, pot is noticeably less harmful than alcohol to both yourself and society. The only harm pot has caused society was the black market because of its illegal status and Canada is finally opening its eyes and doing something about it.
You notice sometimes that anti pot people seem to be just fine with alcohol. There are still people out there who don't acknowledge alcohol as a drug even though it has destroyed so many families and lives yet is continually celebrated in our society.
Marijuana legalization in Canada is happening on Oct 17th. We are close enough now that we are getting all sorts of pot related ad's on the radio and every time I hear one, no matter how many times I hear it, it still surprises me that pot is being discussed on the radio open and freely.
I was just out by the door smoking a joint. I heard my two aunts just in the road walking out, so instinctively, I scurried back in the house to make sure they didn't see me. The question is, why in the hell am I still behaving as though pot were still taboo. In my teens, I would never knowingly let a aunt see me smoking pot and it become ingrained on my brain. My generation, when we were in our teens and 20s, you still had to hide away when you smoked some pot in my small community because the general attitude was that of 1982 when pot was considered the devil's lettuce. These days, even my little community is on board for legalization.
That way of thinking is going to be harder than I thought to break, its ingrained on me. Generally when you learn something as it is when your a kid, to relearn it as something different as a adult is hard to do. The younger generation mostly came up through a world where pot was mostly accepted and part of daily life. They will naturally go with the new way of things. Its going to be those my age and older who is going to have to break the old way of thinking.
With that money, I could add significantly to me music sound system. Lonnie is the first pure bred anything I ever had, most of my cats came from shelter's, rescue's, someone have kittens to give away that will eventually end up at a shelter, and so on.
Mine was an incredibly lucky find, a person who was on the verge of moving from one place to another (bf ran out on her) and couldn't take any of the cats with her so she gave away as many as she could before turning in the rest to the shelter. Both parents have their papers and according to my sister, were clearly pure bred Maine's as are the other kittens. Lonnie is starting to show the tuck of fur around his neck now as well as the long fur coming out of his ears. His growth is nothing short of amazing, every day it seems like you can notice a difference in his size.
Maine's here are typically between $1000 - $2000 to buy.
haha much like my dog would do. I can't I had that done that before. The kitten seems to have a real unique personality. I'm curious as to how he will develop as it become an adult.
Mine is not so much dog like but very very busy and active. He will jump on your leg then shoot up like he is climbing a tree, or just dig in and start gnawing on my foot. Its all play but its painful at times
