well you know Wow, i wasnt sure about whether to post that or not cos although i live just outside Glasgow, we dont have anything like the problems you experience down south....however, they are my thoughts on the matter and for the good of all the British people, I think we as a country have to get tougher.
Hi Sail...I think I am becoming more conversative in my way of thinking as I get older....and some of the things you mention above have made me so...by nature I am tolerant and accepting of all religions but there comes a time when you realise that other cultures/religions are not so accepting of mine...even in MY own country....this really pisses me off....I feel we as a country are being taken for a ride.....and I hope a change is a coming...I am sick of paying my taxes for all and sundry to walk into this country and put their hand out...and receive... and offer nothing in return....there is no work here and the idea of my children being given a council house or a decent job is just a joke even though we have all lived here and paid our taxes all of our lives..... its just not on....jeez I wonder if I should become a member of the tory party....
Had a brill day today...met some friends for lunch and beyond...one of the girls I hadnt seen since 1974 when we were teenagers...she emigrated to Canada and we lost touch...til now....happy days indeed.
Thats brilliant Wow and heres me moaning about struggling to shift at most a stone and a half...sorry...but thanks for the tips...I think I'll try that peppermint tea instead of the white wine seriously though I didnt know peppermint tea could help make you feel full so will try that..I also need to reduce my portion sizes and apparently theres a plate you can buy online that measures out portion sizes which are suitable for you but not sure how that works exactly...well I think you may just have inspired me to do something.....Ive loads of nice clothes which are just not comfortable to wear anymore...so today is the day I start my diet again!! Well done again Wow!....
Aw thats a shame TC....maybe you should get yourself a dog/cat? When my house is empty and Im feeling a bit lonely Im grateful for my wee cats company lol! Well its been raining here during the night and looks like theres more to come.... but thats okay really cos I'm decorating at the mo....
Oops got distracted and forgot to answer the question..yes I wear makeup....light for work..heavier in the evening if Im going out... but more thought and time goes into my skincare regime than my make up one...I can slap that on in less than 30 seconds, a wee bit tinted moisturiser, mascara and a bit of lippy...easy peasy!....
You actually lost 18 stone? fantastic!!... I struggle to lose half a stone every so often...I lack motivation....and I enjoy food and drink too much....how did you manage to stay on track and what programme did you follow Wow? I'd love to lose a stone and a half so any tips would be appreciated.
Hi Wow.....I got an insurance renewal through for my buildings/contents insurance recently and it was ridiculously high so I called my insurance company and told them I was taking my business elsewhere...they were keen to keep me for some reason, probably cos I never claim, so I told them I had looked elsewhere and could actually get the same cover for almost £200 cheaper.....so they slashed the price by £200 and send me vouchers for Marks & Spencer....so I am a happy bunny...think I shall keep them safe and buy my Christmas turkey and trimmings with them....there you go Christmas is sorted....sometimes it pays to rant a little....hehe.....
My Mother was always decluttering so nothing comes to mind apart from a book I won when I was in Primary 7....its called A Girls Treasury of Career Stories lol...I still have it in my bookcase and the price is still on it....8/6....well it was 1971 so its 40 years old now...wow!
Hi Eos, I dont think she would mind me saying that she is taking a break...for how long I dont know.....Im in Dublin soon so will be catching up with her in person...will tell her you were asking....although I'm sure she looks in from time to time....(C, I know I owe you a mail...I will get to it asap).....
Yeah he is superb Yash....I think he is back in Glasgow in October fingers crossed...and I agree the guitarist is fabulous...Declan Sinnot I think is his name. When I was in Edinburgh last weekend I noticed that The Queen musical is playing there at the end of the year...will need to get tickets for that as I missed it when it was in Glasgow.... Here's another of my favourite Christy tracks....
...you realise you have just made me feel absolutely ancient....
Yeah it was a very sad day indeed....it was early morning and I wasnt long up when a friend called me to ask me if I'd heard the very sad news.... thanks for the music btw....
