Of course we do and I am just giving my personal take on it too....what I was trying to say earlier is that not all children sleep 12 hours a night....I had two years between my two sons....one was hyperactive...the new baby had colic....my husband worked long hours...there were days when I made poor judgements and would have given my right arm for a bit of sleep or a meal in peace...thats all Im saying....theres none of us perfect.....anyway things to do must fly...

Blipper, of course what they did was very wrong...but dont you think they know that...do you think they need to be constantly reminded and hounded by the public/media of what they did, and of the terrible consequences of their negligence?
I think they're already suffering terribly every day of their lives as it is, without the public shouting to have them charged, what would be the point of that...what would happen to their twins if they were put in jail......
Just for the record I would never have left mine for a minute....in fact I checked them all the time even when they were just asleep upstairs in their own home... but I still feel terrible sadness for the McCanns and of course Madeleine.

Well I can understand people who have never had kids being accusing ...although I still find it harsh....but they dont realise how difficult it can be to watch 2/3 or 4 young kids 24/7...they have no idea how difficult and exhausting it can be imo....but the people who have kids and who still doubt the McCanns....I question how they can be so knowing (?) and judgemental....

I do however think you are contradicting yourself in that you say the McCanns are going to the press at every opportunity and it seemed wrong to you...then you say you would move heaven and earth to find your sons.....isnt that what the McCanns are doing by going to the press and trying to keep her name fresh in our memories.....and to the people who judge and accuse the McCanns, wouldnt they just lie low and keep quiet if they were in any way responsible for Madeleines death......

Good non judgmental post A....God help them is all I can say....how they are surviving without her, knowing what may have happened to her and knowing that it is their fault she is gone, is beyond me...but to also have to deal with being accused of killing her is just beyond my comprehension.....they may have did a very stupid thing by leaving the children alone that night, but Id say they're guilty of negligence, nothing else.
I have three children and I remember how easy it was to just take your eye off the ball for a split second and in a flash they were gone.....I remember it happening to my four year old daughter when we were on holiday...I turned away to look at something, at most for 20 seconds and when I looked back she was gone....out of sight completely....it took about 10 minutes to find her...a lovely American man and woman and a worker from the theme park were comforting her when we got to her but oh how different that could have been...I will never forget how I felt for that ten or fifteen minutes.....the McCanns have lived with this for four years...and in all honestly if I was Kate McCann I'd have put my head in the oven long ago...my heart goes out to them and that poor wee girl.

I work one, sometimes two sundays a month...taking on extra shifts pays for my treats!.......

I remember my Dad coming in from work on a friday and giving me a thrupnee bit...a lovely wee brass coin which I remember thinking was beautiful when it was brand new and shiny...I used to dash off to the local shop and ask for the ha'penny and penny trays and took ages deciding on which handful of sweets to buy....
Then when I got a wee bit older I got a shiny silver sixpence on a friday....Id then go to the local post office which was further away, and I was allowed to walk to it on my own which made me feel all grown up lol...and with that I could buy a wee plastic toy or some scraps and I had change for a sweetie...happy days indeed!....
