Johnny is temperamental and I think she knew she could get under his skin to provoke him to hit her. She's a gold digger and will clean him out if the assault is proven.
Women in the 50's had those "qualities" because they didn't have a choice. All through your post you say that YOU want a woman to please you, make you feel good and happy. Not once did you say that you want a relationship to be a union with her to make her glad that she chose you. Instead you say that you don't want an argument or difference of opinion coming from her because you want to say how it's going to be. That is someone who is what we call now a control freak.
There are women who can be what you want but it's all about compromise.
It's healthy to say what you want as you have done so that you don't get cornered into a relationship of continuous fighting. People don't change. Well maybe a little but in the bigger picture people do not change. Both need to accept each other for the good and bad. If love is in the picture it is easier for a give and take but the love needs to be equal and not one sided.
I lived in that world as a young woman with how my father expected me to be agreeable to everything he said. And with my husband expecting me to stay in the background. Dare I to speak up and make a suggestion. Dare I to say "no". Dare I to forget to not ask permission. Dare I to have a female friend for dinner.
I was always feminine in the way I dressed. I still have a soft voice.
A time machine won't give you back your need to be in control, to shut us up, and never put us on the back burner again.
Guess I'll complain that somebody sent me an email complaining that I didn't go back to two threads that I made.
First of all, I've been on CS since 2006 and I learned back then that it is not a requirement to respond to every poster in a thread that a member writes. If the subject encourages conversation and a debate I do try to keep up with the posters. However, one of the threads I wrote was only information that didn't require conversation. The other thread I wrote I did respond to a poster in that thread. It is a subject that was discussed many times and didn't need anymore input from me. In fact, the title of that thread said what I was thinking.
This countertop oven does it all, roasting a 14-pound turkey, cooking up a sheet pan of cookies, frying up crispy French fries and even dehydrating a batch of farmer's market surplus. In fact, there are 13 preset functions for toast, bagel, broil, bake, roast, warm, pizza, proof, air fry, reheat, cookies, slow cook and dehydrate. The oven does its magic using super convection, circulating a larger volume of air to ensure fast and even heat distribution. Element IQ technology ensures perfect results by moving where it's needed the most.
The date was going well until he said he has 12 alimony payments every month and that it won't be a problem cause he still has the money earned while in federal prison
He made a suggestion as to how we should get our president that in the future the Supreme Court should choose our president. If he responded I would have reminded him that we did that with Bush vs. Gore when people were spending endless days counting chads and then the Supreme Court said "Bush wins" but in truth Gore had the most votes.
RE: What will happen with the homeless in USA?
Excellent movie I've watched several times about Alan Turing breaking the enigma machine codes.
