A blog is an online journal of someone's daily activity. It's not supposed to be a discussion by other bloggers about that person's experience of what they are doing. Therefore, there isn't a need for a lot of rules in the Blogs if everyone knows what a blog is.
The difference is that the forums opens the opportunity for discussion and debates on a subject between anybody who wants to enter the discussion which leads to various opinions. When you have a lot of people writing their opinion on what someone else wrote you need rules to keep everybody in their lane to prevent a thread from going ballistic thus causing people to go to jail or be banned from the site.
"At your highest moment be careful, that's when the devil comes for you." ~~~ Denzel Washington
I never completely celebrate anything unless it involves my daughter.
It's my experience that just when you think things are going good and your life is turning around for the better that's when you let your guard down and bad times are knocking at your door.
If there were two 12 year old boys in the school yard and one of them made an insulting remark about the other boy's mother, that boy would slap the boy who make the remark.
If there were two 40 year old adult men and one of them made a comment about the other man's wife I would think that man would punch the man in the face who made the comment.
A slap vs. a punch shows different levels of anger.
If Will was seriously angry that Chris said something about his wife don't you think he would have knocked him to the floor instead of a little slap that merely caused Chris stumble?
What we saw on stage in the Oscar's was childish play.
No matter what I read in the media about Will being punished I don't believe a minute of it to be true.
It saddens me to say that Will Smith resigned from the Motion Picture Academy. The reason I am sad is because he is such a good actor and I will miss his movies. In one brief moment he sabotaged his career.
If only he had sat in that chair and stewed about what Chris Rock said and then vented and showed his anger when he was out of the theatre.
Do you think this is a lesson to teach those who have a short fuse to let that fuse burn until the fire is out?
New Jersey has a state law that customers aren't allowed to pump their own gas. It comes from a lawsuit that happened many years ago.
Now I live in North Carolina where you have to pump your gas or you won't get any. One day not to long ago I saw a bumper sticker that said "Jersey Girls Don't Pump Gas".
I asked the driver where she got the bumper sticker and she said on Amazon.
I agree with you on this subject. When people have expectations of someone they have already put restrictions on a potential relationship.
Most want to be accepted for who they are with their true morals and personality. As you said being in one another's company to get the feeling of fitting in with him/her will create an ambiance of comfort.
For me Home is a place that I left five years ago. The people there didn't give my life purpose, quite the opposite. Home is the Jersey Shore, Cape May, the roads that I know very well, the place where even when I'm stressed I can relax. Even the name of the state.....New Jersey.....makes my heart jump a beat. It will always be Home. Where I am now is just a place to live, to survive.
Will's alter ego got in the way of the persona he shows to the public all the time. The test of a man's anger is how well he holds his temper.
I think this has been blown out of proportion. And now it will be all over the news channels for the next few weeks
If something like this happened at the G20 Summit it would deserve the attention but Smith and Rock are actors from Hollywood. They get their attention when we buy a ticket to their movie and if they are lucky they get a Oscar award.
I saw it and I think it was scripted even though they are saying it wasn't.
And even if it wasn't scripted all Chris did was make a joke about Jada not having any hair. They are all in the business of ragging on each other and all of a sudden Will is offended that his wife, who sleeps with other men is offended by a little hair joke that Will laughed at when Chris said it. I like Will Smith's acting but the whole family is a little whacky.
Furthermore, if Will's hand had connected to the face of Chris it would have knocked the little weasel to the floor.
I'm not picking on you Gal when I say this but I remember very clearly when you said you got your stimulus check and you mentioned the bracket you were in. And when you said that I reminded you that by saying what bracket you were in told the public how much the check was what your annual income is. Annnnnnnd, The General was also in that thread and agreed with my post.
Yes it does take a little time for them to get out of the puppy stage.
There are those who want a puppy cause he's cute and cuddly but when he becomes a grown dog they give him up because he's not cute anymore. Even when that happens I wouldn't mind it if they gave the dog to a shelter but there are cruel people who actually throw a dog over a bridge or to the side of the road hoping it will starve or be hit by a car.
If you want a dog to enhance your life, to give it love and attention, then I think you will be a good dog daddy.
A conversation that is done with respect, is educational and holds the attention of those who participate is a "good conversation" and never a waste of time.
RE: Why are there more cs rules for posts made in threads than for posts made in polls and blogs?
