I created many dresses that I made on my sewing machine and lots of baby clothes, many sweaters and blankets that I knitted. My most impressive creation was my sister's wedding dress.
I've never been a people person. I was a loner in school. Then I got married and he forbid me to invite people, even my parents to our home so that's how my life went.
After his death I had to work but people didn't seem to want to talk to me. I was pretty and always wore a suit to work. The other women in the office didn't take as much care in their appearance so they treated me as an outcast. In a law firm you can't believe what anyone says so it didn't bother me that I avoided them as much as they avoided me.
Now I'm at the point if someone does stop to talk to me I keep my distance cause I don't want them to touch me not even in a friendly gesture.
I went on a whitewater rubber boat ride that bounced off rocks and waves that could turn you over. That excited me a long time ago. Even though I'm as old as the hills if my back could take the pain maybe I'd do it again.
I'm good with certain things that I won't mention. The best one is loyalty. That might sound lame. I never cheated on any man even though he emotionally abused me and disregarded my need for intimacy. Even being married to an alcoholic I never cheated on him. If I was looking for a relationship I would be the same way again because the key to happiness within yourself is loyalty.
My family was very poor and there were six of us in one little house. My grandmother lived with us and she actually raised me which was difficult because she only had one arm and one eye. My grandfather chopped trees and sold the wood in the neighborhood driving around a horse drawn carriage. He chewed tobacco and had a spittoon which was disgusting. We hade four chicken coops with chickens. My father sold the chickens and eggs and I guess once in awhile we had fried chicken for dinner.
We didn't have a refrigerator but had an icebox. The ice man would bring a block of ice to our house. We owned a large piece of property next to our house that my father turned into a vegetable garden. You could name any vegetable and it was probably in that garden. I remember I had to go out in the garden and pick the stringbeans even on hot summer days. My mother canned tomatoes in Mason jars.
As a young child I had to scrub the kitchen floors on my knees and I had to do the family laundry with a ringer washing machine and then hang it outside. We didn't have a telephone or tv and when we got a tv it was a black and white one. One thing I remember clearly is the harsh snow storms when I had to shovel the driveway so my father could get out to go to work and that was before going to school. The walk to school was about three miles even in snow storms. Back then they didn't close school like they do now when a couple flakes come down.
Fun? I don't remember having fun. When it rained I would put my bathing suit on and go out in the street and dance in the rain. I used to sit in the street and black jacks by myself. I do remember having a bicycle that had big tires. The Silent Generation was literally silent for me. It was all about not talking at the dinner table and if somebody said something there was hell to pay. I once asked for seconds and was scolded. So then I thought I'll get around it and if my father didn't eat his second pork chop I would ask him if I could have it and my mother got mad about that.
I am wearing soaked clothes. I went grocery shopping when the sun was out. When I finished paying all of a sudden thunder nearly rocked the building. There was a downpour of rain with hurricane wind and fierce lightening. The customers that wanted to leave the store all waited inside. When the wind and rain slowed down I had to get brave and head for my car and I got soaked. I'm about to take my clothes off now
Track has a good idea to use long screws Seriously, I found this lock on Amazon. If you're interested make sure you watch the video to see how it works.
Your post is an oxymoron. You brag about how great you think you are and then you pull out the puppy dog eyes saying you aren't good with dating in general hoping someone will stroke your feathers. Sounds like you're looking for someone to confirm that you are so good looking, so funny, fairly wise, goal oriented and social.
If the losers don't get a freebee on their college loans they will probably file for bankruptcy. Once they are free and clear of all debt they won't be able to get another loan for 10 years until the bankruptcy clears on their credit report. That will have a negative affect on getting an apartment, buying a car on credit and even getting a job.
When they signed for the loan they knew they had to pay it back but Biden put the idea in their head that they can get away with not having to pay all of it back. WTH ! I pay my bills, why shouldn't students pay theirs.
If the student loan is in the name of the parents will they still get the Biden freebee?
This is an excellent post. I have had a relationship with two different narcissists both from CS. Both tried to make me think I was always wrong. It was actually amusing to see how far they would go to make me think I was stupid. I am an Avenger and very confident of who I am. I ended the relationship with one of them and the other one dumped me which wasn't a big deal. The OP knows what he is talking about when he describes all facets of how a narcissist works.
