Whatever Works To Feed Your Baby

Torah Bright, an Australian snowboarder, is taking breastfeeding to a whole new level.

The 34-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared a tribute to her son on Instagram for Mother's Day earlier this month, which included photos with her 10-month-old baby boy, whom she welcomed on July 5, 2020, with Angus Thomson.

Among the photos is a sunny snapshot showing the mom breastfeeding her son outside in her underwear — while upside down doing a headdstand.

"Becoming a mother has unleashed something inside of me. ?? It's deeply spiritual. ?? It's primal. ?? It's raw. ?? it's fierce. ?? It is pure. ?? I am mother," she wrote in the caption. "My prayer for all mothers, now and in the future is that they be heard. Honoured. Respected and encouraged to trust their intuition."

RE: Insomnia...

All I have to do is watch tv if I can't sleep. Even if I watch tv during the day I often fall asleep.sleep

RE: Insomnia...

I take Ibuprofen for pain during the day and at night. It does help me to sleep but it can be harmful to my stomach if I take too much of it.

Cold milk is the answer. I often toss and turn trying to get to sleep. When it seems like sleep is not on the horizon I get up and drink about 4 or 5 ounces of cold milk. Go back to bed and in a very short time I'm off to snooze land.

RE: What will happen?

This story goes back many, many years when I was in high school. One of my teachers was doing a talk about hygiene. He focused on how to avoid stinky feet AND to protect your shoes from the wet perspiration destroying the inside of your shoes. He said you should never wear the same shoes three days in a row because your shoes need to dry out from perspiration.

Being in high school I didn't pay attention to what he said and I wore the same shoes day after day. And that continued for many years and throwing my shoes into the trash. Then one day I remembered what that teacher said and started to rotate my shoes so that the perspiration could dry out from the shoes I wore that day.

My feet tend to sweat even in my slippers. So in the morning I use Odor Eaters spray powder on the bottom of my feet. No more stinky shoes and no more sweaty feet.

Gal, is she the one who was in the James Bond movie......I think Casino Royale?

RE: What is more attractive to women?

Judging by the categories in your poll it seems that you think women have the same low standards about men that you have about women.

If a woman is looking for a life partner she knows that an intelligent man will enhance their relationship more with his brain than with the hair on his head.

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

Thank you to everyone who sent a kind word. hug

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

My question is..........why do you or anyone else have to know anything about me. Why can't you just say "sorry to hear that"?

BTW.....the word is advice in the context that you used.

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

So you're saying that before you will show compassion to someone you need to know their history.
There are 14 people on this thread who know me and have been around as long as I have.

I just looked back at the OPs opening post and I will be honest in saying that I didn't realize the thread was meant to be ONLY about Covid and how it is affecting people mentally. The last sentence says "get it off your chest". My family crisis is weighing heavily on my chest. I was just crying for compassion. I got it from a few people and I appreciate that. You are right Lee. A social website is not the place to think that people care about you.

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

I have people in the real world to talk to about this. Once before I posted a little bit about it on here and didn't expect a response because of the type of thread it is. However, I thought this thread was about showing compassion to others. I am at fault for having the expectation.

I'm over it.

Thank you to the people who did show kindness hug

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

Not often that I agree with you but this time you hit the nail not only on the head but very deep. All people want to talk about is Coronavirus something that has affected the whole world. They forget that people have personal distresses and might want a kind word of compassion from others. Two people on this thread responded to my post. I regret that I wrote it and will NEVER open up my feelings again on CS.

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

I am suffering from immense fear that my son in law will die from the cancer that he is now being treated for. He is getting chemo treatments but if the chemo doesn't shrink the cancer enough away from the bone they will not be able to perform the second surgery. If they can do the surgery they will cut away any cancer cells that are left but he might lose an eye, part of his pallet and his front teeth. My daughter, his family and I live in fear that we will lose the man in our family who we all love very much. crying

RE: What is the cost for transportation fuel where you live.

I filled up on Monday when I heard over the weekend about the hack and it was $2.72 a gallon. When I was out today I saw it was$2.79. Tomorrow it might be $3.00 a gallon. Lines were long and signs all over "No Gas".

Reminds me what happened back in the 70's when there was a shortage of gas. I had to get in line at the gas station at 3 a.m. to be sure to find a spot in the line and then wait until 8 a.m. when the stationed opened.
