RE: You like to post in

I do the same thing never taking anything from the front. The reason I do it is when people get to the checkout they change their mind and tell the clerk they don't want the item. The clerk sets it aside and if it's perishable it will probably spoil before it goes back into the case. And the clerk always puts it in the front of other milk or frozen item.

I think Mr. Twitter has a good sense of humor that isn't meant to be hurtful.

If BN was nasty to Dee then she has good reason not to like him the same as I have good reason to like him.

That's true, people make mistakes. Here's my thought about that.

You are driving in an area you are not familiar with. Before you left you asked someone for directions and they said turn left at the fork in the road. You see the fork ahead and are trying to remember.....did they say turn left or right. You take a chance and turn right. THAT is a mistake.

Your husband/wife cheats on you. THAT is not a mistake. It was a choice to cheat.

A mistake and a choice have different consequences. The one who was driving just has to turn around and go back to the fork in the road. The cheater has ruined peoples lives because they made a choice. That choice can't be undone or forgotten and for me not forgiven. The wrong turn at the fork was a mistake and won't be thought about again.

RE: Is there anything men do that women hate?

I wasn't accusing you of being too serious. All I meant is I've never seen you giddy like when you said "Ha Ha you're in trouble".

RE: Any movie that is a Ten (10)

Yes it is a true story.

"In 2016, 12-year-old Zain Al Rafeea was working as a delivery boy on the streets of Beirut when he was discovered by a famous Lebanese film director. After starring in her film Capernaum, he and his family were recently relocated to Norway with the help of the UNHCR."

RE: I'm Thinking #2

I never use anything made from Styrofoam. It is estimated that it will take 500 years or more to decompose when thrown in a landfill. One common estimate is that Styrofoam can take up 30 percent of the space in some landfills. Once in the landfill, it does not decompose quickly.

RE: I'm Thinking #2

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

Have you ever seen the documentary of plastic trash in the oceans? People on million dollar yachts or those in a small rowboat would rather throw their plastic cup overboard instead of a trash bag on board. Fisherman throw fishing lines overboard causing so many fish of all sizes to get caught in the lines. It's just sad the callous attitude people have for the planet.

Unbelievable the cavalier attitude people have to throw their trash on the street, in somebody's yard or along the highway. sigh

RE: In a lifetime

I've been at the top of Mt. Washington. The way I got there was scarier than the height of the mountain.

Mount Washington's official record low of -50 °F (-46 °C) was recorded on January 22, 1885. The official record cold daily maximum is -28 °F (-33 °C) on February 6, 1995.

The -50 F is supposed to be the coldest temp ever recorded.

Having a child. There is no greater love for a man or woman to know you are the parent of a child. You will never love anyone more than you love that child.

I'd ignore him the same way I ignore men now laugh

RE: Verdict

That might be true Gal but he didn't deserve to die on the street crushed to death by a knee.
I think SWAT should have been called to put him in a van and taken to jail.

RE: Verdict

I didn't miss it. I watched the trial from beginning to end I certainly wasn't going to miss the attorneys opining. He's right to a point. Justice was served for George Floyd. I think he is referring to the three cops who assisted Chauvin and will be tried in August unless they plead. One of the three will get a lighter sentence because he asked Chauvin if they should put Floyd on his side which shows he knew there was a better way to handle the situation. Tao the cop that held the bystanders back probably won't get much time but he is still guilty of assisting Chauvin. The other cop who was next to Chauvin will probably get a lot of time and might plead to avoid a trial.

I will never get that picture of Chauvin with his knee on Floyd's neck out of my mind. It is embedded in my brain.

Floyd wasn't an angel and should have gone to jail for things he did in the past but he didn't deserve to die on the street while being tortured in broad daylight. The fact that it was daylight makes me think that Chauvin truly believed that what he was doing was going by the books.

He deserves to go to prison however I'm not afraid to admit that I teared up a tiny bit when I realized that he had a proudful profession and threw it away in 9 minutes and 29 seconds.
