They may know business but they sure kept it a secret when they ran the White House....teaching mode???? Negative mode more like.....what is the Tea Party position on managing the US deficit? and how do they propose to insure/care for the the health of the poor??
interesting ideas here....but the distinction you are making is between those who respond to phenomena by applying the knowledge they have accumulated and those who decide to imbue the phenomenon with something mystical....how do you leap from seeing lights to someone helping you? It does tell you what kind of person you are....someone who needs someone else to mind them and validate them.
Ariel Sharon was responsible for acts of terror but he was a US Ally. Saddam was a US ally and only became a terrorist state when he ceased to be a US ally. Mujahideen were heroic allies against the Soviets in Afghanistan until they turned their guns in a different direction...then they became terrorists.
It is propaganda and words all of it. An act of terror is an act of terror whether committed by us or them, by Governments or individuals or small groups.
Actually one of the reasons he has been less effective than he might have been is the raging partisanship of the Republican tactics. He wasted too much time in trying to be a President for the Republicans too when all they wanted was to oppose. But leaving Obama aside for a moment, what do you make of the policy positions of the Republican party this last year and a half. Oppose at all costs, reject everything except tax cuts for the rich and pretend the international crisis had nothing to do with them. Not very grown up don't you agree???
