I'm registered as a donor. It was a small effort and i feel healthy. Sadly if you donate organs you can't donate your body for science afterwards. In the Netherlands the gov forces the question on you when you turn 18y, many young people refuse at that time because they don't want to make a decision yet.

As a faux scientist myself, i can only conclude several things.
Humans are an fragment in Earth's history. And an future anomaly in Geology. On a 6 000 000 000 year timescale A 200 000 species with 'intellect' Our 12000 year written background is irrelevant. The last century is puny but a bit more relevant. No religion will make the earth stop turning or kill all life on earth. If you want info on that, better to do some science about the Sun.
Chances are big that if humans die due to some disaster that there will be an intellect species evolving a new. Give or take it could be a 1 billion year more if they start straight from bacteria. Probably not even finding many remains of us anymore when they get there. The earth should be uninhabitable in 1,75 billion years.

It could be she is just learning about life. Everybody would ask questions to other people. She is a Y-generation and everyone is equal and open and on facebook. We mature sooner but stay longer in the pre-adolescent fase. Here, being 27y old and living with parents is occurring much more often. 20-21 years old and already a boss. If she needs a chat like that to feel good at her job, she will chat about it. If she was pointing at a big house, i would have said that it could be a plan and she should consider giving me a raise.
But her statement does mean she sees you as acceptable. Check if she is single and then don't be pushy. If you like her off course.
And i may add, the centuries-long isolation of the Japanese people is still noticeable and was one of the reasons for their brutality in WO II.

Sorry, nursing homes are a recent thing. When my old aunt(91y) was raised they plainly didn't really exist. My generation(31) grew up with the idea so we will look at it differently then the previous. Even crazy people have big rights now.
The babyboomers tried to make laws and such around it. retirement funds and such so their parents became societies duty and not theirs. The rules don't work anymore, because the health issues were never so severe. People can survive longer with bad odds. I'll give an example, i was born 40y after WO2 and i never witnessed any war injuries. We'll see what remains after the vietnam and gulf war.
