LOL I did not take it negatively... I live in the MK area and love it here... Lots of things besides concrete cows! I have a 12th century church on my doorstep and Roman ruins very close by. Since I am American as well as British, I appreciate the beauty in England...
I have been a 'member' of rhe CS family for over a year now. I find it a good place to come and have a laugh or a cry. I feel it becomes real when you meet some of the people you communicate with. I have done this by attending several CS events.
I have not yet been disappointed... CS is only as good as the people who use it. So far, I have found that the people here are for the most part wonderful..
I met and dated someone from CS. That didn't work out,but I have met and made some great friends. I know of three marriages resulting from meeting here.
I find the people on the forums to be as they are portrayed here. I have met a lof of the 'locals' by attending the CS events.
I think that some Americans react more defensively to perceived negative comments.
I think we might feel that the world is against us... but living in Europe has taught me that is not the case.
Most people give me the opportunity to be judged as a person and not as a stereotype. I believe the same to be true in America.
I find Americans more open, friendly, helpful and ready to take on a problem head on. I have been out of the US for almost 10yrs and can really see the difference when I visit home.
Unfortunately, I have to agree that most Europeans do have more style unless you are in a major US city..
JMO so please don't anyone take offense.. or offence depending on if you are American or British... I am both
I lied about my age when I first joined CS.. said I was 120yrs old. Sort of got sick of people saying I didn't look my age or asking how old my pics were...LOL I finally got caught on a thread about lying when I said I never lied.... oops forgot about my 120yr old age......
Tonight is 'girls night out' which involves as many single women of all ages getting together for drinks in the city centre. We usually have a good time and a few laughs.
Tomorrow is a friends birthday party in the evening, so imagine that will be an interesting event.... I think I am having a sleep over here as I live close and drinking and driving is contemplated.
Sunday will be a chill day, getting ready for another busy work week.
Hey N...... getting people all worked up? LOL You know me, I do miss my guns over here... heck I could have fresh meat every day, with all othe rabbits out my front door.
RE: Hello. New here!
LOL so good you are back Steven, missed your wit!
