in public and plain sight of anyone and everyone no less) then when i came in he said go look on your desk.........................so i did expecting a note or something from the school.................well instead my son had written me a simple note........"Happy Valentine's Day Mom! Love you!" and left me some change(there's a story behind the change thing but i won't get into it).......it was the sweetest thing and made me tear up
