I have never claimed my country was better than yours (well we probably do not have as many poor as you do), it is you who has always said that. Before you comment and make claims, check:
1. Slovenia, as part of Yugoslavia was literally a 3rd world country till 1991 when we got our independence. 2. I have always said here that Slovenia, because of its size and poor economy, CANNOT take on any more people and provide for them. Our government has already spent 2.5 mil EUR on these people, who by the way do not show any gratitude, set fire to tents, beds etc., beat up our policemen etc. WE CANNOT spend money on the ECONOMIC MIGRANTS if we do not have enough for our own. 3. Because of the poor economy, WELL EDUCATED YOUNG people do not see any future here and go to other more prosperous countries - WHERE THEY ARE NOT ON WELFARE BUT WORK!!!!
GERMANY is better off than my country, many others in West Europe are BUT THEY/EUROPE IS NOT A PARADISE WHERE ALL THE POOR POPULATION OF THE WORLD CAN LIVE.
You are no humanitarian if you prefer giving out limited resources (I hope your brain is not that brainwashed not to realize that resources are limited - everywhere) to young, healthy men aka ECONOMIC MIGRANTS instead of people in real need.

It is unbelieveable Bab Croatia keeps on sending them here. The centre that was burned down is about to accept more than 1000 people again. All tents, beds, blankets that someone set on fire on purpose had to be replaced with the new ones. How can these people behave like that? They set fire to the centre knowing that someone else will be needing it soon

Rumours are that these masses are just crossing through Slovenia now, no one stands up to them, our small police force could not stop them, so they are just marching on. Scary that Europe has no laws anymore, oops we do have them it is just that some people are above all of them.
Taking them to do what? Live in camps and off of welfare?
Anyway, if Germany wants so many migrants, the only fair thing is:
- not to shove them down the throats of those who do not want/need them - send cargo planes to Turley or wherever and bring them to Germany, why put everyone, the migrants and the countries they are passing through, through torture?
On the biggest border crossing between Croatia and Slovenia, the SLovenians have set up a camp. The situation there is horrible, migrants are violent, the media is not allowed to be there (as if they would report on the violence anyways) Migrants are setting fire to tents and everything else around because they are impatient to move on
They leave tons of garbage after they are allowed to move on, nobody cleans after themselves, I am sorry I do not know how to post pics, but it is horrible.
The worse is how they treat food: the SLovenians are taught that food is sacred, it should not be thrown away, children are taught to empty their plates....my god what different culture (is it a culture????) these people demonstrate.
THE POINT, life, I made with education level of Syrians (migrants in general) is that we have been lied to by the media and the politicians, which I said to you several times. FYI in the last 2 years more than 5000 university young people with tertiary education (half of them with PhDs) left Slovenia because there are no jobs for them here. A rhethorical question: WTH can this mean for a country of 2 mil?

Funny that you do not have any concerns about the SLovenians in this situation, is it because we are not of the appopriate skin color? (this is just a rhethorical question, so DO NOT answer)
1. Our president was promised immediate reinforcement in police force, which country they will come from, no idea.
2. Some migrants in a camp near the border with Austria wanted to enter Austria by force, the police used tear gas.
3. The migrants set fire to the camps, beds... Some were housed in a stadium during the night, when they left this morning, the hosts could not believe what they left: fesces, toilet paper, food, clothes everywhere. Horrible!
No one cleans after themselves, they don;t use toilets but relieve themselves everywhere.
4. Slovenia has already spent much more than 2 mil euros on these migrants and will ask EU for financial help.
Again: 120.000 unemployed here. Social benefits have been subject to reduction because there is no money, says our Government.
Till 4 p.m. more than 7000 migrants entered Slovenia. As of yesterday 2500 have been in a centre near the border with Austria. 30 trains full of migrants are on their way to Slovenia travelling through Croatia.
7000 in one day (the day is not over yet) - just to remind you that Slovenia is a country with 2 mil inhabitants.
Austria opens its borders from time to time, today they have let 600 enter its territory.
I know Kaetch, it is so frustrating that there more like her. And it does not matter if you serve them statistical facts or personal experiences - they just do not want to see. Anyways, I told this particular person that I am not going to debate with her anymore and I have ignored her questions ever since.

Well, if you check the situation in different European countries in terms of returning people to their own countries - it is horrible! If you take an example of the war in Bosnia, many migrated to the Scandinavian countries and only a few returned when they could. Norway for example even changed its law to enable everyone to stay, Denmark gave everyone the choice and of course why would you go back to a poor country when you can live in a rich one????
Another example are Somalis in Norway - they never returned BUT they send their children to Somalia to go to religious schools over there or spend holidays with the whole family in what they otherwise claim to be a dangeours place from which they had to escape.
Yet another example are those who come illegally and don't have any grounds for asylum - even those stay, especially if they are criminals - we are sooo bloody good here, we cannot return anyone to their own country if he is to be punished for a crime there!!!
So, whoever sets foot on European soil gets to stay. If we want to help, then some need to go back, we cannot keep on accepting more and more.
I have heard her and that finance minisiter of hers say that. How she will divide immigrants from refugees...only god knows.
What is frustrating is that she plans to return those she does not want (the ones from Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan) to Slovenia and Croatia not to their countries of origin! According to her the conditions in Hungary and Greece are inhumane, so she will just dump them onto us.

Yes, we can thank god that we are the transit country at the moment, but if Germany closes its borders, Austria will do the same, so many will be stuck here in Slovenia with more pressing from Croatia.

I completely agree with you that secualrism is what should remain our value in Europe, however, we have obviously taken it for granted and with this absolute priority placed on the misinterpreted freedom of religion, secularism is bound to be gone.

Instead of asking me questions, there are some questions you should ask yourself: 1. should certain parts of the world be emptied of their population? 2. do human rights entail the right to live in Europe? 3. how many should Europe, and the West in general, take in and what will happen to those left outside? 4. do human rights you advocate also include the rights of Europeans (or white people in general) to live according to their values or do these rights only apply to colored people?

Unfortunately Felix our politicians and the media have been telling us that everyone coming from Syria is extremely well educated and qualified and that we cannot live without them and their special skills, that they are not like the others from the ME and will start working immediately and contribute immensly.
As Statistics Norway shows - this is a blatant lie as more than 70% Syrians don't even have primary education.
Additionally, the German statistics shows that only 1 in 10 immigrants/refugees (supposedly the majority is from Syria, this is another lie, but no one cares) has joined the workforce.
