Any climate activists in here?

No, coal power kills so many more. Speaking of which, the UK has done a great job to get away from coal, all kudos to your government/s!!

Any climate activists in here?

Please consider taking a stance against fossil fuels destroying our planet.

RE: I eat once a day. Anyone else?

I have done this for a while. They call it the "warrior" diet, some researchers say that it works quite well. But for me, as my life got more active, I could not fill up in just one meal, can you do that?

RE: HERBALIFE

In principle yes, but you should save your money and lose weight the natural way. They are just a scam. There is nothing to their products that you can't get if you buy the right foods and exercise.

Nobel Peace Prize

Goes to UN chemical weapons instructors, but what do you think, should Malala from Pakistan not have gotten it?

RE: Best movie of the last 5 years

Hmmm, I have not seen many but my picks:

Best for me: Alpha Dog (not very well done, but scary story)
Best that I have not seen but think is the best over this period: Hurt Locker
Funniest: Populärmusik från Vittula (Swedish / Finnish)

RE: Linux anyone?

Not on my PC, but the servers at my workplace runs on Linux. My guess is that a wide majority of the corporate and university servers use Linux these days. So much more stable than the others...

RE: An American man awakes and only speaks Swedish...

Yeah,you look so pleased.[/quote

I don't see what you mean, you have a problem?

RE: An American man awakes and only speaks Swedish...

Does it say what kind of dialect he spoke? As you know, "Northern" Swedish is very much different from what they speak in Skåne for example... Thanks for the story, it was great!!

RE: MLB free agent singings that didnt work out

OK, I get it now, but obviously they have meant signings.

RE: MLB free agent singings that didnt work out

Why don't you start a thread of your own instead of writing crap in other people's debates?

RE: MLB free agent singings that didnt work out

Well at least Barry gave them some important starts in the postseason last year. I would say:

Mike Hampton
Milton Bradley
Jason Bay

RE: Barbarians will put man to death because he is the wrong religion

They were in the Iraqi war killing many civilians...

RE: Barbarians will put man to death because he is the wrong religion

It is not OK but we should also be aware that our own governments have blood in their hands...

RE: Barbarians will put man to death because he is the wrong religion

And of course through history Christians or Europeans have not ever killed anyone on the basis of their religion or ways of life. Oh wait a second how about exterminating Native Americans, slaughtering Africans and gassing Jews to Death? Even in our days just look at the death count of the wars in Iraq and Vietnam for example so my point is that maybe our own governments are not so much nobler...

RE: Trip to Bordeaux, France

How about staying with someone for free on Hopitalityclub or couchsurfing? Just ask me if you dont know how to do it. That is a nice way and I have done it quite a lot.

RE: :)

First of all it is impossible to have no diet as a few people state in here. Unless you are not eating at all you will put something in your mouth and then you have a diet or way of eating. The question is whether you just accept that others including the marketing people decide what you eat or you make a conscious decision about it.

As someone who have been doing versions of paleo / Atkins style diet for ten years, I like them. Trick is to see it as a way of eating rather than a diet and I don't really know why you would get on it and then get off it again. Your health is not a quick fix and of course you will get your old symptoms back if you go back on what caused your problems in the first place.

There is lots of theory on the idea behind the idea of taking less refined carbohydrates in your food. Most of all you need to be in control of your insulin levels and paradoxically fat intake in your food is not going to make you fat as long as you get the right type of fats. Several other substances are really far worse.

Best soundtrack ever?

Great music and what is wrong with still listening to 80's music? Stuff from that era is so much better than almost everything out there today. At lest that is what I think.

Best soundtrack ever?

Sorry but I forgot You Can Get It if you Really Want, Many Rivers to Cross and Pressure Drop on The Harder They Come.

Best soundtrack ever?

Alright so a brief presentation of the most important songs for the ones that I have chosen as alternatives:

- Pretty Woman: title track with Roy Orbison, Wild Women do, King of Wishful Thinking, It Must Have Been Love, Wild Child
- Top Gun: Danger Zone, Top Gun Theme, Take my Breath Away
- Grease: You're the one that I want, Grease Lightning, Summer Lovin', Beauty School Dropout
- Local Hero: Lots of Mark Knopfler music including the main theme
- The Harder They Come: Cult movie for 70's reggae featuring The Harder They Come, By the Rivers of Babylon, Sitting here in Limbo

As for your quoted options The Sound of Music is before me so I wouldn't know much about it. What songs do you have on Terminator? Thanks a lot for all your contributions!!

Wish to learn aboriginal culture

Hello

I stayed in Queensland for studies back in 2001. Learned some things about your history with the stolen generation et.c., but would like to learn more about the thinking of the Aboriginal population. Anyone wants to discuss this please answer me here or send PM.

Regards.
