I once had to give a guy an injection in the buttocks ans he told me not to stick him in the eye-I politely told him I would be no where near his eye-THEN I SAW IT! Right there on each "cheek" was a pretty blue wide open eye! Now he tells everyone I poked his eye with a shot needle!
I travel often alone with my horses and have been kidnaped and beated-not fun. I have grown up with guns, I hunt. Since that incident I now carry everywhere I can but even with a concealed permit the law doesn't allow one to carry where they are needed. Yes, I have had to use my gun(not fired) once since that terrible incident and was I happy and confident that I could use it if needed and that I had the right to have it in this country. The criminals will always have illegal weapons. My son grew up knowing guns were for killing and never was curious because he was allowed and taught safe handling and saw what a bullet could do.
BTW the kidnapper had an illegal gun and if I had a handgun at the time there were several times I could have gotten it and they'd be maimed or dead and I wouldn't have had to go through that trauma and they wouldn't have gotten out after 5 years due to good behavior. They went on a few years later and killed a man.
After years of trying not to acknowledge my native heritage, I have realized that the way of Red Road is the only way to achieve true harmony and peace for me. I am truly blessed now everyday.
We raise hybrid beefalos (buffalo/beef cross) in this area! Great meat and very healthy. I myself hunt and eat venison and rabbit and turkey and my cholesterol is 125!
