RE: As a Woman

Speaking for myself, none came back.

Have you considered that the reason for that is, is because I made myself VERY CLEAR to never contact me again.

No, I agree with you, she is guilty obviously because she actually committed the act and being that this is a hypothetical situation, I was just curious of the feedback of others. Would some people find her guilty and throw the book at her so to speak or would others basically feel compassion/empathy and find her innocent and help her get the help/resources she needs.

Innocent or guilty

Yesssss! Thank yougrin

You were the one who brought up the EVERYTHING comment, not me.

Obviously, you aren't getting why she stole the bread and milk so I will leave it at that.

Innocent or guilty

Because she obviously ran out of money after paying for everything else. Money only stretches so far.

Innocent or guilty

The bread may be for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a glass of milk.

As I mentioned in the opening statement, I mentioned that she didn't have anything left over, meaning things such as smokes, alcohol, drugs, etc.

I can understand wondering what else she had stolen or had been stealing, I get that, but again, I mentioned it was her first time out of desperation.

Guilty with a suspended sentence or long term probation and no jail time. Like someone else mentioned above that jail time would only make her situation worse, helping her find the resources she needs would be a good resolution.

Also, not EVERYBODY has a roof over their heads, or a car, or have the money to insure the car or put gas in it and prescriptions are not always affordable. Some people have to cut corners somewhere. Maybe not insure their car in order to put food on the table.

Innocent or guilty

In my opening statement, that you highlighted, food is on the list.

Some fathers are dead beats and would rather quit their jobs rather than pay child support, the father could be deceased or incarcerated. dunno

I would not want to have to make that decision myself. There are other options. Where theres a way, there's a will.
