No significance, other than I just love this song; play it all the time on my CD & MP3 players

Wings of a Butterfly ~ H.I.M.

Heaven ablaze in our eyes
We're standing still in time
The blood on our hands is the wine
We offer as sacrifice

Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul

This endless mercy mile
We're crawling side by side
With hell freezing over in our eyes
Gods kneel before our crime

Come on lets show, them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don't let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
For your soul

Come on, and show them your love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul, my love
Rip out the wings of a butterfly
For your soul
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)
Don't let go
(Rip out the wings of a butterfly)

For your soul

RE: near miss

Yes. On the interstate, pretty desolate area, I was following a car that was speeding, I had a BMW right on my butt (also speeding), and a semi to the right (yep, speeding). Yes, I was speeding as was everyone else. I'm a descendent of Mario Andretti or something, lol. We were all just blasting along. Probably from the experience of driving on the audobon (sp?), lol; woohoo thats fun!

ANYWAY, my right front tire blew out at almost 90mph and I'm talking shredded to pieces. I didn't have any problems getting onto the shoulder on the left side of the road. Heck, the blow out didn't even seem that bad until I looked and the damage to the car.

My brother gets the spare put on...We happen to be 2 miles away from the only left hand exit, I saw there and back. We get off on that exit, there happens to be not one, not two, but THREE tire shops right off the interstate's ONLY left hand exit.

So, I'm BSing with the guy in the tire shop. I told him the story of what happened. He says that with the way my tire blew out and the speed I was going, I shouldn't have been able to steer and I should have shot straight to the right, which would have put me directly under Mr. Speeding Semi Truck.

My mom and I still talk about that trip. We say there was a guardian angel angel looking out for my crazy driving butt. After all, tire shop guy says I shouldn't have been able to steer and should have went under a semi. It was right before the only left hand exit and the three tire shops were right there.

Yes, I learned my lesson sort of. I don't speed quite that much anymore; though now I still feel the urge to keep up with every one else. Does it amaze anyone that I still have a flawless driving record??? 0 accidents, 0 tickets...knock on wood.

RE: just wondering if there are any real people on this site...

I'm real. Well at least the last time I checked, lol

RE: Has anybody ever let you down ? ( LETS NOT JUST TALK ABOUT ROMANCES )!..what did you learn from it ?

Yes, quite a few people. What I learned from it, is the one that you can ALWAYS count on, is yourself.

You have the people who'll be there for you most of the times, some people that will be there for you some of the time, and those who will be there for you none of the times.

I can count on me, all of the time.

The one person who let me down that I didn't think I'd recover from letting me was my best friend of 20 years and she turned her back on me because all she cared about was herself and the fact she's miserable in her own life. Well, I thought about it and its her loss not mine.

The Bachelor

So, I'm getting ready to watch a reality TV show, the Bachelor. What cracks me up about these shows (and I've watch several seasons of this and similar shows) is how these women do anything to get this guy's attention. They talk about how he's perfect for them and how they are falling in love with him.

THEN they're elimated from the competition. Why is it that so many of them say (not so much this season so far) that "He wasn't my type anyway" and then slam him with a ton of negative things?

Do you suppose its all for TV ratings or these girls are all manipulative women looking at the guy's bank book?

Kind of ruins it for the rest of us, who honestly mean what they say. I've went a bar here once, in kind of a ritzy area, where most of the women basically want to know three answers to questions: "What do you do for a living?", "What does your bank balance look like?" and "What do you drive?". From what I know from a guy friend that works at that bar, it's a common thing there....

Are there that many gold digging shallow women in the world? I'm proud of who I am and the fact that I've gotten the things I want on my own with my hard work. It's makes me appreciate the things I have in my life.

RE: older women.

I get a lot of older men. I'm talking my dad's age. I'm not looking for a dad. The younger guys that email me are way too young. The youngest has been 19. I don't think I have a lot in common with guys way older or way younger. It comes down to life experiences and what we have in common. For example, I want to eventually get married and have children. The much older guys do not and the much younger guys haven't even considered that aspect of life.

RE: did u ladies see

Oooooh yes. Absolutely FINE!!! He makes me remember, back in the days when my friends and I used to say "Pass me a drool bucket".. LOL

<Sigh> absolutely my type. Dark haired and blue eyed, wth a killer smile. BUT he's looking for friends, hang out and thats cool; I'd could be friends since he's in NY.

RE: Ok then! Do women

Nope, but having one around that loves you and that you love back is a great thing. Need, no. Want yes.

I've been fine and happy without a guy around and happy and fine with one around.
