If I'm treated well, I tend to baby the guy I date. I'm very sweet and caring and tend to do things just because, no reason at all. I'm all for cooking special meals and giving shoulder rubs or just stroking their hair while they lay with their head on my lap.
I love doing simple things just to make a guy know that I thought about him. Like a quick text message during the day to tell him, "I hope you're having a wonderful day".
Or even something simple like, stopping at the gas station to pick him up something to drink, without even being asked, on my way over.
Being the hopeless romantic, I'm all for surprises...Like candlelight dinners, etc.
You know, that would probably keep those baby factories out of business. You know what I mean those women that have baby after baby after baby and live on welfare so they don't have to work?
JAWS. I have an obsession with that movie. I don't know why I like it so much. Check the pic on my profile of my detailed model (its HUGE, with its little removable Quint).
I blame my mom. She saw it when pregnant with me, so it was ingrained in me before birth, lol.
I Cross My Heart - George Strait Bless The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
A lot of people like the Cha Cha Slide. You know the one I'm talking about. "To the left, take it back now y'all, 2 hops this time". It gets on my nerves, but I know a lot of people love it.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding, someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
I was almost 5 at the time, so still pretty young. I still remember her poster that my dad got her after that day. It's one you see of John Lennon everywhere. Where he's wearing his trademark round sunglasses, his New York City t-shirt and he's standing with his arms crossed leaning against what appears to be a bridge or a balcony with NY City in the background.
I'm sure my mom has that packed away in her mamouth Beatles collection....John was always her favorite of the group. It sad to think that John & George are both gone now.
I have all sorts of daydreams that are always happy. Meeting the right guy, winning the lotto so I can have my Porsche, etc.
My dream dreams are always crazy. For example, I had a crazy nightmare about Jason from Friday the 13th that was really scary vivid. I won't go into my nightmares about the Leprachaun from that silly movie, that didn't scare me, but in dreams he's really scary. Actually neither of the movies scared me and I don't know why the come back to me as scary. Unless its revenge from mocking the movie's creators.
I do have wonderful dreams of a blond haired little boy with gorgeous blue eyes. I've dreamt a lot about him over the years. The "dad's" face is always hidden in a shadow even in pictures in the dream. I assume that the boy and the guy is my dream of my son and future husband....
I am a hopeless romantic who still believes the myth of love and marriage.
I do not consider myself good for only making babies. Yes, while I thought I would have children by now, I don't consider myself a failure for it. I have a career, a job I love, and one I'm very good at.
As the daughter of a father who shared no interested in my sister and I, only caring about my brothers, I want better for my children to come.
I do hold out that I will someday have a marriage like my grandmother's, who had a best friend & confidant as well as being in love with her husband til the day he passed away. By the way, he wasn't my blood grandfather, he was my step-grandfather, who she met after she got a divorce (this was early 70s).
I for one, though I do look for Mr Right, do not shutter myself in waiting for him to ride up on a magical white horse to carry me away. While going out on many dates, I've met my psycho ex husband, several perverts who just want to score, and a jerk who had no clue what he wanted from me, I've also met the people I have dated and had serious relationships with.
Well as a Wiccan who was born and raised Catholic and had a great uncle who was a Monsignor of the Catholic Church...I will tell you what he once said about different religions:
Basically what he said: "God does really care what religion you are, what church you attend, for though people choose to believe in him in different ways, some who choose to believe in Him as one supreme God and others who choose to believe that he is many different Gods, There is still only one true God at the end of our days. So as long as you believe in God, He is there for you. He is there for your struggles and the days of happiness to come".
This was said to me by my great uncle when I had mentioned that I (now a fallen Catholic because I divorced a vicious man) was looking into converting to another religion and was studying many different religions to find one that fit my beliefs.....
Whether Christianity is based upon another religion that could be based upon yet another religion, which could be based upon a religion that wasn't documented because they didn't think of these things back then or the documents were destroyed in times of tragedy and hardship or just the documents not being able to stand up to the test of time and weather (They could have disintergrated over the years), we will never know 100% where the root of ANY religion started. Who's to say that Paganism and any religion formed around that time is the original? We don't know.
I will take the words of my great uncle and just state: As long as you believe.......
I was born and raised Catholic. I know my scripture so I don't need to read it. I took CCD classes. Nor do I see God striking those down for having a tree.
And in case you missed my original post, I am Wiccan now. I still celebrate Christmas traditionally, the way I was raised, with my family. I go to Christmas mass because thats family tradition and God hasn't caused lightning to strike me when I enter the church.
I'm a fallen Catholic anyway. I got a divorce. OOOh, I'm a sinner. I told the priest, that the God I believe in would rather I be happy, safe, and alive than be extremely unhappy that I married a man that later turned out to be vicious and vindictive, who if I stayed with him that would have probably killed me (after numerous threats that he would).
Later I searched for a religion that matched my beliefs. Therefore I am Wiccan now.
Say what you want about me, but to quote scripture back: "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." John 8:7
My cat doesn't just knock the bulbs down. He climbs up the tree and knocks the whole thing over. I think I have 6 bulbs left from last year. With him chewing on the cords, I just think of National Lampoon's Christmas vacation...ZAP!
Anyway, I will be fine. I get bummed out, but spending time with my family does help. My mom is a very hardworking, generous lady. She deserves more. I just keep hoping work will open up some Over Time and then I could do more. OT always puts me in a good mood.
Unfortunately, Christmas anymore depresses me. I hate that now I'm living on my own that while I can make ends meet, I rarely afford the extra expense of getting family and friends anything.
Yes, I know thats not the point of Christmas, but I feel horrible not being able to give anything in return. I was barely able to get my family anything this year and when they deserve so much more than the little things I got, well, it sucks....
I am no longer able to decorate as my cat destroys the tree and likes to chew on light cords.
I dunno, I just get in a bummed out mood.
So, to me the only benefit of Christmas is to spend the extra time with my family.....
BTW, I am Wiccan. The celebration of Christmas isn't the same thing as it is with other religions, but all the same, I still spend it with my family the way I was raised....Early morning at my mom's, mass, dinner, and then gift exchanges....
I am a neat freak, but I do hate to clean the house. My problem is that I'm allergic to dust mites and unfortunately they are a fact of life. SOOO, I'm constantly cleaning my apartment.
To keep myself from constantly sneezing and breaking out in hives, I constantly vacuum everything and once a week that involves vacuuming the furniture and mattress. A prescription helps, but if theres a lot of dustmites its like trying to swim against a current.
That is soooo wrong Lion. Alas, I've been told I'm an excellent cook. Once was told I should go to culinary school. Never had anyone stay with me just for my cooking though. I was told by my ex that because it was so good that I was going to make him fat from eating so much of it.
