.... How long more is it going to go on that America and it's Allies are going to have it's nose stuck in in the Middle East?.... I would wager a bet that the ordinary citizens do not even know the reasons why this continuing interference is still going on?.... We are told by our leaders that the West are hated because of their 'freedoms'.... What sort of rubbish is that?.... The West is hated because they have invaded Muslim countries for decades......just as we would hate them if they were interfering in our politics or bombing us.......How do American citizens stand for trillions of their dollars....not to mention their beautiful children.....being sent to fight wars in countries where they have little reason to be?......I think the old story about it being for the 'oil' is a tired and outdated reason at this stage......From looking at President Trump shoving his chest out like a harvest frog on his podium after his trip to Saudi Arabia where he did a war dance with billionaire princes.....his biggest boast was the massive arms deal he secured from them......he was literally hyperventilating and gloating!......Why not tell the obnoxiously rich Saudis who have all this money to do more to sort out the sh.....t in Middle East.....let him stay at home and protect his own people and spend his billions on his own people not dropping bombs on other countries and then sit back and act the victim when a few deranged....mostly home-grown, brainwashed terrorists carry out attacks on innocent civilians on American, French or British soil........Us Westerners are as brainwashed by our Politicians as Extremists are by their leaders......jmo.....anyway....my sympathy to the poor victims and their families....how awful for them....

Just to say I took early retirement a few year's ago and do not have any regrets.....but....saying that.....It does take a bit of time to adjust to.....I spent many mornings during my 30 years working thinking it would be heaven on earth to be able to stay at home from work and just have the freedom to do anything I'd please for the day.....Strange thing was that, after the first few months were over, I all of a sudden felt a bit of a void in not being part of a place where I had lots of friends and felt an attachment to the company I worked for......Only advice I would give you would be to stay in touch with a few of the people you were close to.....it can easily happen that we could get too isolated and loose touch......otherwise.....it is definitely important to pursue some hobbies or interests that you may not have had time to indulge in over the years.....wish you the best....
.....I suppose it's easier for us living in Ireland..... No shortage of nice fellas asking us out.....we're living in a small country....it's just that I find it strange, from reading people's posts on the blogs and forums.....sometimes it looks like they talk about stuff as if it was reality.......people living Continent's apart......but, how does any intimate, loving relationship develop from there..?....

Looks like we might as well say good bye to the Irish Forums at this stage.....I remember up to a year ago there used to be great fun and banter on here......Mjpd67 in particular used to keep the place going with his great sense of humour......all the jokes about being in the bog etc!!...hes probably there at the moment up to his ears in turf!....
