RE: The People Has Spoken: Trump our new Leader

........The new President Elect has not been backward in his hatred towards Immigrants......he won this election on the back of those feelings........

RE: A man issue

......so true Fifi....we have to remember though that this ' Holier than Thou Expert..' on women's behaviour.....is now bringing a child into the world with some (btw...God Help Her!) girl.....yet he is here on a dating site stating that he is Single, Free Spirited and looking for 'Dating'....what a lovely prospect for this child to have him as a father!....He is obviously cheating on his girlfriend before his child is even born......

RE: Mortgage

...yes indeed John....it is laughable to think that there are 230,000 vacant properties in Ireland....most Developers were given permission to build as many houses as the wanted to in areas where there was not enough employment which would encourage people to want to live there....and now they are trying to encourage Developers to start again......not a mention of trying to create employment in places where these empty houses already exist.....

RE: Dinosaurs Aren't Real

.....perhaps the reason for that might be that in some places there was large movements of mountains or other land masses over millions of years that unearthed the fossils hidden a long way underground?.... There are more than likely millions of dinosaur bones hidden deep in the earth in a lot of other places that will never come to the surface.....

RE: Mortgage

....From what I understand First Time Buyers can claim a rebate of income tax paid over the 4 year's prior to buying a house....up to a maximum of €20k......this can then be used to help fund the deposit needed before getting a mortgage.....only available when purchasing a New Build.......

RE: Dinosaurs Aren't Real

....I'm quite certain that, as you say, 'most people', do not believe that dinosaur skeletons exhibited in museums are real.....people interested enough to visit these places have enough intelligence to know exactly what they are looking at....I am sure the real bones need to be preserved under very special conditions......perhaps having a look at some of the fantastic documentaries regarding dinosaurs made by David Attenborough would help to dispel your doubts....one shown on BBC1 back in January for instance where he visited the actual site (in your own country I think it was) where the largest dinosaur fossils ever discovered were being excavated......I am certain David Attenburgh would not be present if the event was in any way a hoax....

RE: Love is blind!

....ah, thank's for the kind words...no...once I got over the pain I became determined that his horrible actions would not turn me into a bitter person.....expensive lesson though!!...handshake

RE: Love is blind!

Hi One2n....I definitely agree with you that love is blind.....somebody blinded by it will never listen to anybody else's advice.....I met a fella from Northern Irl a few year's after my husband had died from MS when he was only 36.... children very young at the time etc...etc...long story short this fella crashed two brand new Passats belonging to me.....the first one was only about 5 months old....insurance paid up for that one so I went ahead and got another one.....unbelievable as it may seem....three months later he wrote off that one as well....due to some technality the Insurance Company would not pay up!....even with tbe stress of this happening my only thoughts were that he had not been injured.....long story short about a week later I came home from work to find that he had disappeared off the face of the earth.....to this day I never saw or heard from him again.....he left me with a bill for €30,000 and, not to mention, a very broken heart.....

RE: Say Anything

I'm sure there are quite a few people, like myself, who like to log in here every so often just to relax and have a read of the forums and blogs....we don't interact much on here but have still gotten to know a lot of the posters......just seeing what has gone on over the past couple of weeks is totally wrong.....most of the genuine, honest, funny people have up and left......what a pity....the obnixious trolls are still here.....being allowed to, let alone bore the pants off people with their pretence childish 'romance'....but causing discord at every available opportunity.....I notice that a certain 'Islamaphobe' is dipping her feet in here again....loads of stimulation for trolls and their likes on there.....perhaps our most obnoxious resident trolls will skip back to those threads again.....it's an easier subject to copy and paste to......and leave the down to earth lovely, funny people to enjoy themselves on here...

RE: What would you do if you were in my position? I am currently working and have a job that stresses me

Well...my opinion is that, firstly, you should be proud of yourself that you succeeded in becoming a fire fighter at 21 year's of age.....that in itself is something to be proud of....it's usually the dream job for lots of young boys growing up.....on the other hand no point in you sticking at it if you don't feel it is the career for you.....why not enquire from your employers to see if there is some other type of career that you could train for that might not necessarily involve fire fighting...lots of other areas I am sure.....they might even help you out with expenses involved in re-training etc....very difficult for a fella of your young age to find another job which would pay as much as you are now earning even if you think it is not a well enough paid job for you.......just to say....be careful in your decisions.....best of luck.....

RE: Terror on the Streets of London:

.....Probably a disappointment for the people who would like to add this atrocity to the others that have been caused by radicalised muslims... they won't be able to get their teeth in and brand every Muslim who was ever born as all being responsible!.... I often wonder how us in the West would feel if Middle Eastern countries decided to shove their noses into our countries and send in all their military aircraft and start bombing us?.... Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed due to interference from the West into places they were not wanted.....everybody now saying that those unfortunate refugees should stay where they are and soak it up because they are costing too much money to look after....yes indeed.....no complaints about the trillions of dollars spent bombing them out of it.....so Westeren terrorism against them is legal and our fighter pilots will get medals and deemed as heroes when they come home....but, then again, when people have so much hate in their hearts towards a certain race or religion they never consider that, as humans, everybody's blood runs red....

RE: Do Cyber relationships work

in.... You are one of the lucky ones Tom...and so Whisper to have met a nice man albeit online or on skype etc....all I'm saying is that for most people it would involve a major upheaval....I sincerely wish you amd Whisper all the best....shesea lucky girl amd you are a lucky man....handshake

RE: Do Cyber relationships work

...Ah...Tom....only problem is it's going to be an expensive dinner for most people....also a lot of family upheaval etc.....like I said.....I envy people who have the wherewithal and will to bring their love to fruition from a long distance.....and I've nothing other than the best wishes for those who succeed....handshake

RE: Do Cyber relationships work

Just giving a small opinion....as regards LDR's for example......there are hundreds of people on this site who interact without ever having taken part on the forums or blogs.....sometimes it is quite easy for people to fall for each other if they enjoy interacting on the blogs or forums.......some of us, who only read them from time to time, can get to understand and like some of the posters.....I can easily see how it can happen that a relationship can develop if somebody likes the other's sense of humour etc.....anyway.....even living in Ireland where people can meet up quite easily in person .....it is never a guarantee that the chemistry will be there.....I envy people who can feel those butterflies online....but in my opinion my preference would be to be breathing the same air as him before any lovey, stuff could start....jmo....

RE: Emotional blackmail

...Hi Al..I hope you don't mind me giving a small opinion.....Well...my personal opinion is that....especially when somebody is a nice ordinary, down to earth person, probably more used to meeting people in real life every day....it is aa little different if people meet in this virtual world....it actually gets more difficult to say your true feelings than it would in real life.....a lot easier behind our laptops!.....buy, in the end.....a lot easier for one or the other to get hurt....nobody wants that but it can happen if somebody takes virtual too seriously.......at the end of the day it can happen that the person who is actually the nicest can end up being the biggest devil....handshake

RE: Americans

...Hi All...yes...I think I have to agree with you....not sure what the reason is....possibly the self confidence that is instilled into them as children.....always being taught that America is one of the best countries in the world and they all grow up believing that......they do not feel shy about people hearing their opinions.....also....I think it is a good thing that they come across as excited about the countries they visit.....we should all be thankfull....and, of course, the gorgeous teeth that most Americans have.....they love having their mouths open to show them off..!!. lol..

RE: Boxing legend Muhammad Ali died Friday, June 3, at age 74,

...thumbs up you are absolutely right!...

RE: Boxing legend Muhammad Ali died Friday, June 3, at age 74,

....yes Jarred....very sad....a legend in his own lifetime.......my son and I actually had the privilage of shaking his hand when he visited Ennis, Co.Clare back in 2009.... One of the special lifetime memories that I will always cherish...may he Rest in Peace..........

RE: Have any people actually found a date on this?

...Hi Brenden....Just to say you are probably in the same boat as a lot of people here...my opinion is that a young man like you should probably not be here at all....I am sure you have lots of choiices in life.....just get away from behind that computer and join some clubs....you will be surprised how much you will enjoy yourself!!!....that aside, if you enjoy interacting here that is, of course, your choice....some of us are way older than you and have gone through a lot of life's difficulties....we are all only human and want to be happy in our lives...anyway!!.. there is hope....just had a lovely man from Scotland here last week....I never laughed so much in my life!!... Only problem was trying to stop my son from bringing him down to the local at every opportunity!!!... Anyway, like I said....you'll be fine.....stop worrying and enjoy life!!!..handshake

RE: Terrorism just a part of our daily lives

As a 64 woman....who...apart from writing about your fantastic enjoyable cruises with your best friend who pays for them...(lucky you...!)....even though anybody who bothered to check the itinerary of your last cruise would know that you were telling lies.....anyway.....apart from that and your nautious answers to your three or four admirers.....you are a complete boring pain in the a...s....now, make sure you block and delete this before anybody who agrees with me sees it...

RE: for guys first dates

...ah...I know what you mean fifi....its just that sometimes we like to think that after taliking to somebody on the phone for a while etc...that everything will be great on the first date....it is a little different when people meet up....sometimes there is only chemistry from one side and, even worse we meet somebody who has been so nice to us in their chat on the phone etc...a lot of fellas have a way of making us believe that they are dying to meet us but, in reality, they end up just wanting to get whatever they can without sharing any of their personal feelings about life with us...anyway...I understand what you are talking about and it's just my opinion....I am sure that there are fellas out there that have had the same experience so I am not being biased....
handshake

RE: for guys first dates

....It's quite normal for both parties to feel nervous on a first date....if there are no nerves or butterflies you should not meet up in the first place......don't be too judgemental of the person you are meeting.....you must have spoken to him on the phone a few times.....just understand that it is normal to feel a little nervous.....if yee fancy each other thats all that matters....no need to ask him a hundred questions to see if he meets your requirements..... if you feel you have to do that.....forget about it...jmo

RE: what truly turns you off

.....very sad when one's own personality turns them off.....at least you know how everybody else feels when they read your exaggerated drivel.....

RE: Germany suffers the result of Angela Merkel's decision

If there is anybody up there in the Heavens listening to this prayer....Jesus Christ, Mohammed, anybody at all.....please, please, please disable the Wi-fi on that bloomin cruise ship for how ever long she is on it just to give us all a well earned break from her perpetual vitriol......thank you God.....

RE: Favourite sauce and what do you do with it?

Ah All....is your cooking that awful that everything has to be smothered in ketchup before people can eat it?!!...rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: fed up with life

...Hi Zebel...It saddens me to read that you are feeling depressed with your life....perhaps that is because I have sons around your age....just to say that I know from experience that a lot of young men go through a stage in life when they find it difficult to cope with things....it is quite normal to feel like this and do not think that you are unusual in having these feelings...it is stressful...especially for fellas....who feel that they should be starting a good career etc. with the hope of getting married and supporting a family....at your young age and with your wonderful qualification you should not hesitate to leave your country for a few years and experience life some other place....lots of young men, without any of the qualifications that you have, head off to foreign lands and are able to find work for themselves....it will be a wonderful adventure for you....it must be difficult for an intelligent fella like you to feel trapped in a country like Iran where you feel you cannot spread your wings.....just do it for yourself....start today and search for possibilities to get a visa in some other country.....and, please believe me when I say that, even if you think that it is only you who has these doubts and feelings of depression.....you are not alone in these thoughts......just head out into the world and a happy life will open up for you.....I truly wish you the best....
