Just wondering, if, all the people who believe that they are going to meet THEIR God what are you going to say to him at the Pearly Gates?...... Are you going to thank him for the lovely life he gave you?... Are you going to ask him why he chose your family to live in poverty?...... Are you going to ask him why you are supposed to kneel down every day to thank him for your wonderful life?....will you ask him, if, he supposedly created this world......why did he make such an awful job of it?...... Yes indeed.....he gave us a lovely world to live in!!!!......

It was shocking to see those ladies on Crimewatch being scammed out of so much money......good to see some scumbags getting caught though....

...That is an awful thing that happened you.....so sorry.....it is one of the worst pains that anybody can suffer.....like you say it is like somebody sticks a knife in your stomach and twists it.....you are very brave to be able to write your feelings here and you should talk to your close family and friends also......like others said the only cure for a broken heart is time but you should not spend your time alone.....try your best to get out there and keep yourself active......you seem like a lovely person and you are too good for that coward who was not man enough to be truthful with you.......you will find love again.....promise.......please take care of yourself....

...what i said was that his meanness as regards his spending habits or lifestyle does not bother me in the least......and i have been using the word mean as in 'miser' in this instance......now, the matter of the social welfare fraud is a different matter which does annoy me.....sorry if i wasn't coming across clear......thanks for your opinion though....

..i understand what you mean jac.....well, his meanness does not bother me in the least as i would not touch him with a barge pole ever again.....i just posted the thread to see if anybody had any examples of extreme meanness......i had never met anybody like that before and hopefully never will again!!... as regards the social welfare fraud it just goes to show that even with all the tighter regulations in this country people are still able to play the system to their own advantage....yes, that sort of thing annoys the hell out of me!

..no jac....this man is just a miser in the first degree!!... He could not care less about the environment....using the train instead of the car was not because he was worried about the environment....he burns his rubbish illegally on his land.......even though he has loads of money he still finds a way to get things for nothing from the state......i will just give one other example of his meanness to prove my point!!... You know the residue of food that might gather in a sink after washing delph??....well, he does not put that in the bin!.....he gives it to his little dog even though it is covered in washing up liquid and germs.....now, if anybody can beat that for meaness i'd love to hear about it.....

Well, i cannot say that i have any indebth knowledge as to what causes schizophrenia or any other similar conditions.....i always feel though that some major trauma, stress or life-change can triger a chemical change in a person's brain and, in some cases, this imbalance does not rectify itself and the person needs ongoing medication.....only difference is the person suffering from a mental disorder has also to live with the ignorance and stigmatising that people show towards them.....it is like as if the person has done something deliberately which is causing their problem.....anybody who thinks it is a laughing matter has a lot of work to do on perfecting their own personality before pointing a finger at others...

i'm not sure Jean.....i always think that skinflint and mean have the same meaning.....no, this person was not in the least way violent....actually quite soft spoken and gentle......

hi eurolady.....yes indeed he sounds like an awful cad!... from what i saw he was getting everything he could for nothing of the state even though he had a farm and loads of money from having sold land for building of new road.......probably would not have the brains or looks to get away with being a real cad but was just a thorough scrooge.....

Here are a few examples of miserliness that i discovered in a man i went out with for a VERY short while some time ago.......even though he was only 55 he had a free travel pass and insisted on leaving his car at train station and we went to galway on packed train standing all the way.....went into the local supermarket at 7 in the evening to get 2 dinners for 2 euro each as it was the end of the day.......uses candle wax to light the fire so that he wont have to buy firelighters.....burns his rubbish out the back of his house even though it is illegal......always asks for a pint of tap water with a dash of orange in the pub so that he wont have to pay for it.....i could go on and on but then nobody would believe that any one person could possess so many miserly traits.......definitely the meanest person i ever met......anyway, anybody else come across any scrooges......

i spent an entire 10 hour flight from Cancun to Dublin in complete silence as i had realised during the 10 days i spent there that i had made the biggest mistake of my life by agreeing to go there with him......d'ont ask why i had agreed to go in the first place!... Let's just call it a temporary lapse of sanity!...

Well, my opinion is that, if some of us of a certain age e.g. 40's, 50's, 60's etc., would be very, very limited in our choice of partners if we were only looking for people who did not have children already. Most people (especially women!) do not want to date somebody 20 year's younger who may not have children already.....most of us have been married before, widowed or in a long-term relationship.....it is completely normal and natural that any person that we might like to meet up with would already have kids of their own....

Picked up the wrong bag at the airport...

About 12 year's ago i took my children on hold to the Canaries....we had a good bit of luggage with us....anyway, to make a long story short, the two eldest were helping to collect the bags off the carousel.....put everyting into boot of taxi and off we went...about 50 minutes to hotel....it was about 4.30 in the morn when we got there....checked in etc....we had noticed that there was not any water in the swimming pool but i told kids not to worry as it would be filled by the morning...up in the room anyway opened one of the cases and inside was a load of strange clothes!.. My son had picked up a case identical to one of our's by mistake...we rang the airport and there was a german man going ballistic as he did not have his case!... I ordered a taxi immediately and sent him to the airport with the case and to collect ours.....that was the start of a disastrous two weeks.....the empty swimming pool remained empty for the entire two weeks and each morning at around 5.30 the jack hammers started up as the swimming pool was being re-conditioned!.....just two examples of a litany of disasters that happened us.....anyway, just wondering if anybody has any stories of things that went wrong for them on hols?.....

RE: CS needs a major overhauling and revamping

Well, personally speaking i always enjoy reading the forums and posted a few threads over the last while....the only thing was i started getting a load of abusive messages as to why i had 'searchinforlove' up as my username when i was mostly just interested in the forums....i suppose people had a point alright but i had not even considered my username when i changed my profile messages......mostly because of all the scam mail i was getting....anyway, i have changed my username and everything is fine.....just saying Happy New Year to the new friends i had met under my old username......hope everybody has a great party tomorrow night.....enjoy....
