RE: What Are You Reading

The Red Sphinx-

No...I'm reading in English.
All the literature books from Alexander Dumas I read in English. My french is not that advanced, good only for basic conversation.

In reality, I also admire at people who catch it fast who Dumas was; that shows quality is not lost from this planet that we live in.

RE: Why do all the men here seem to have the same job?

in my case....all the emails I get they are either scientist or in some type of finances, amazingly they all have masters.

RE: Exchange French language for English

French is fun to learn, ....seems complicated but it is not.
Feel free to drop emails and we will be practicing together.
We can start your first lesson:

v. to be: Je suis, tu es, il est, elle est, on est, nous sommes, vous etes, ils sont, elles sont.
v. to have: J'ai , tu as, il a, ella a, on a, nous avons, vous avez, ils ont, elles ont.

p.s. - make sure you talk like the French do: whenever there is a vowel or a vowel sound, connect it with the pronoun. e.g., vous avez becomes vou zavez, elles ont becomes elle zont ( for pronunciation only).

have fun
and there should be accent circomplex on vous etes, but this keyboard doesn't have it.cswelcome

RE: Have you become more mature ?

People become more mature after a bad marriage, although some like to step-in in the same mud over and over again. We see that happening when people ask for relationships after divorces. We need to step back and start breathing freely before choosing another mud for ourselves.

RE: Why do all the men here seem to have the same job?

really....I wonder too.
the ones that find me they are all either scientists or in finances, and, and amazingly they all have master. degrees.rose

RE: English is a crazy language, it often makes no sense at all

Well. ..we need to appreciate English language compared to French language, where just to say a simple one sentence you need to worry about what subject goes with what number , what adjective goes with what gender, what adverb is related to what adjective, what noun is related to what pronoun, or what verb is being conjugated in what form! Not to mention what verb belongs to what group, regular or irregular? -er group or -re group, or -ir group? Or completely out of range? And the list goes on and on. And remember, all this needs to be done in your brain before you even come up with a simple sentence. If you compare English with what I just mention above is not even comparable. English is very simple language, not to worry about all that that goes on with French.

RE: where is my Mr Right ? ????????

First of all forget about your Mr. Right or any kind of Mr. Right, because it doesn't exist! It used to be existing in novels during Renaissance times in European novels but not in this century and specifically not in USA!
Maybe in 3rd world countries you might have a better chance. As to CS site, chances are zero to non-existing. Here is a place for good pastime, in case you missed Friday nights gatherings, you simply read the silly forums that members come up with, ot create one yourself and laugh and have fun, or go ahead and read their profiles for a nice pass time, maybe a glass of wine or a whiskey next to you.
Other than that, you have chosen a wrong place to find a lasting husband.

CS Profile

Actually...I had my picture posted there, the reason that I had to remove was that all the opposites of my taste were liking me or emailing nonsense emails or sending annoying flowers, and erasing them took a lot of time, so in short I placed some of my collections there, since I love Paris and French language. C'est ça!

CS Profile

I made my profile simple and as short as possible with no picture. But for some reason men enjoy my profile and I get tons of invitations . Do you think the secret of attraction is in simplicity?

RE: How do you cooooooooool down...

LOL....since we're suffering from rain shortage. ....the only option left is the shower. yay

RE: How do you cooooooooool down...

You can do that in Marseille ,too. There is one particular beach that all these things are permitted. Actually, you may feel shy with your clothes on but for them is a second nature. You do something like that in USA you definitely find yourself in psych premises! barf

RE: How do you cooooooooool down...

Cup of Armenian coffee , which is expresso, in a tiny mini cup, along with French music, such as " I love Paris in the spring time ". Try it.....you will instantly see another world. ...

RE: Do you believe in tipping?

I guess people tip from peer pressure... they feel obliged to do so, tipping industry is countless, such as pizza delivery, hair dresser, cruises, taxis, furniture delivery, waiters, carwash centers, etc ...and to answer to one comment, in USA all the waiters/waitresses are paid hourly rate plus their share of the tip . Tipping is not mandatory, even though it is printed on the receit. People feel under pressure in public and so they pay.
Onetime, the food came with the cacroach dead in there.
But we still tipped. Peer pressure and stupidity. The dollars are not hanging from the tree . We all do hard work according our skills and education. Tipping is a pressure, a humiliation that people undergo.

RE: How do you know when you've made it in life?

This question has a deep meaning. Depends what angle you're looking from.

RE: where is my Mr Right ? ????????

You better give up searching Mr. Right... since it exists in fairy tales not in reality ...
