It has a lot to do with the topic, some will say: -yes, come to .......(country's name) For a better life and more choices, but they never stop to ask if you actually wanna leave your country for theirs. Just because his country is better economically it doesn't mean we should live there.

Second you should tell her you have a doctor's appointment, ask her if she can tag along. Then if she asks why were you going to see the doc for, then you can break the news to her.
